Few guys had test in Scarborough yesterday and their oath was today. Check the Scarborough thread. Only one is in the forum, but he could recognize few people from the test previous day.

Same day oaths are kind of exceptional though, no?

I did my test in Scarborough on 8/10, not updated on ECAS but then again I’m expecting it to take a week at least. They needed to get CBSA clearance because some of the trips I declared didn’t leave stamps in my passport (EU countries so they don’t stamp my EU passport). The agent said it takes a coupl

I've been IP since Jan 15th. Have been checking this forum everyday for the last 3 months. Today I decided I'm going to stop checking this forum until I get my test invite. Wish me luck! (and watch me fail).

Hope you receive test invite soon!!

You can take oath with an expired PR card. As long as you don't plan on travelling outside Canada, there is no need to renew your PR card.
Thanks That makes sense!

If pr card expired can I renew pr card?

If pr card expired can I apply pr card

You'll receive the invitation via email. My Ecas isn't updated with the ceremony date yet.
Good luck.

So I'm real pissed. Not only did my AOR take 7 months! now I'm stuck in "In process"

Here's my timeline. If my application exceeds the 12 months time set by CIC (which seems very likely at this point) can they expedite my application or is it all talk?
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 25, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on May 15, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on June 28, 2018.

I'm in the same situation. Honestly, for my AOR, and IP, I wen to the excel tracked, found the largest day and then added 100 days to it to get my numbers, it's ridiculous how they handle cases. But, here is a timeline by CIC for unlucky people that slow unintelligent agents are handling their cases:

Delivered to AOR: 12 month
AOR to IP: 12 months
IP to test invite: 12 months
Test invite to test: 12 months
Test to decision made: 12 months
DM to oath letter: 12 months
Oath letter to oath ceremony: 12 months

If you call the useless call center they will tell you the same thing basically, but it can take 12 months for your call to get through.
Good luck everyone.

Has anyone with the Decision Made status in May received the test invite recently? Thanks
