So my friend told me that there's now a new thing they are doing, you get your Oath the next day after passing your test? Anyone hear of this?
Few guys had test in Scarborough yesterday and their oath was today. Check the Scarborough thread. Only one is in the forum, but he could recognize few people from the test previous day.

Guys, I am also an October applicant and in the process since Nov 23rd, I ordered my GCMS reports twice and the only difference I see between the two is the change in secondary office. In the first GCMS report, my Primary office was Mississauga IRCC and the secondary office was St. Claire IRCC and now in the second report the secondary office has changed to IRCC GTA-CEN, which I have no clue where this office is? My test is pending Criminality Clearance which is going on since December last year and God Knows how long its gonna go for. Can anyone help me with this office name and where is it located?

Someone was informed by an IRCC call center agent that some IRCC offices are merging. Perhaps "GTA-CEN" is a merged office comprising of Scarborough, Mississauga and/or St. Clair. "CEN" in "GTA-CEN" may mean CENTRAL ?

Finally its over and I am a proud Canadian now.
Applied Oct 16 2017
AOR Nov 29 2017
IP Jan 11 2018
Test & Oath invite email Aug 3rd 2018
Test & Oath date Aug 9th 2018
Passport application Aug 10

I live 8 hours away from IRCC Winnipeg and this is the reason I was called for a one time pass as they call it and I requested the clerk at the citizenship ceremony to kindly undate my file so that I can apply for passport the next day itself as I have an upcoming travel next week and I do not live in the city to apply after 2 days in person lol and she did it yay.. My ecas was not updated with my test and oath date, after the in process date the next line is I became a citizen Aug 9 :) Actually the officer called me on Aug 8and asked if I would be able to come next week, like who would say no after waiting for 7 months in process without any updates ;) Oh at the interview she said if the background check isnt complete they cannot do anything as another department handles that and as soon as she got the email saying my background check has been completed, she invited me as my file was quite old lol
Best of luck to all of you, it will come soon :)

So I'm real pissed. Not only did my AOR take 7 months! now I'm stuck in "In process"

Here's my timeline. If my application exceeds the 12 months time set by CIC (which seems very likely at this point) can they expedite my application or is it all talk?
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 25, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on May 15, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on June 28, 2018.

2 months in “In process” is not “stuck”...
As to expedite applications that have been submitted for more than 12 months... I am sure it is just all talk . I have accepted mine will take longer than that and I no longer have any expectations, just wait for it to get dragged out for as long as they want

Oh, be still my heart. If it gets delayed past January, my job search will very well get screwed.
