Hey all! I am an Oct 2017 applicant. Everything for me has just been slow tbh. Finally got my test for May 30th.

Application sent Oct 14.
Rec'd Oct 16
AOR Nov 14
Finger Print Jan 23
RCMP Cleared Feb 19th
Test Invite April 25th
To do test May 30th.

All I can say is that its just a wait game! For those still waiting, I know the feeling of frustration, but keep hopeful.

Applying from Brampton. Not sure where my test will be, waiting for the letter. Will keep you posted.

Hi,
I had my test March 15th, passed
Decision made March 16th
Oath Letter April 4th
Oath Ceremony Date May 1st

Can someone please update me on the spreadsheet please? Thanks!

Question:

I have a work travel planned in mid May. A red eye flight at night. If they send me an oath date on the same day of my travel, can I do the oath ceremony, fly out the same day and apply for a passport at the Canadian embassy where I am at? Not that I’m in hurry for the passport but because they take my PR card I cannot renter Canada without a PR card or passport. I will be gone for 17 days.

Your input is appreciated.

Better to postpone the Oath.

Hi
It really depends on where you are going and which passport you are carrying and if you have a transit stop on your flight there and back to Canada.
Here are rules for entering Canada.

Added you to October sheet of global 2017 tracker. Link is in my Signature.

Do you know your In-process date? Did you notice your test invite on e-cas and have not received email, then your test invite could be from Mississauga. Scarborough is sending emails for test invite and Mississauga is sending letter in mail.

As per new law you must use Canadian passport if you are Canadian citizen. If you will take oath you are of course citizen. Better to postpone oath or trip for 4-5 days and apply urgent passport.

Dual Canadian citizens need a valid Canadian passport

Good luck

Hi guys

I'm wondering for those who had the ceremony, did they check for COPR (confirmation of permanent residence)? Some people say yes some say no...

I passed the test on April 25th

I'm gonna apply for the verification of status since I lost it but might take a couple months..

Thanks
