Can you please share what documents do they look at during ceremony day? I know what is required but wondering what is it they look at exactly. What they actually verify? Thank you very much

And I'm citizen ! The Ceremony was longer than I excepted. Arrived at 1pm, it finished at 3pm.

And they didn't give me back my Permanent Resident Card. So, it's strange not to have a official identity card in my wallet proving Im citizen. But, yeah I'm citizen and I will enroll in army reserve in few months.

So..I have been guilty of not updating my status in the past month and half but that is just how I am...right up there with superstitious baseball and hockey players.
Office - Mississauga
Oath Taken - April 27
Decision Made - April 6
Test Date - March 28
Test Invite Date - March 8

And for folks tracking Mississauga office, we had 100 oath takers this morning and there was a second group later in the afternoon. So that office is hustling :) Based on my experience, Mississauga waits for everything to be in place before the test invite but then moves quickly.
This forum has been a great resource during my journey and I intend to continue contributing. Good luck to everyone waiting; your day will come very soon.

When did you get your Oath invitation?

The Oath Invite and PR card in my case. That was all they wanted during the ceremony even though the letter had a longer list.

Edit - they did not ask to see the COPR but did advise us to keep it in a safe place as we need it for old age pension.

According to a telephone agent at IRCC I called, a day out of Canada does in fact count as a day of presence in Canada so long as one returns to
Canada before midnight. The same applies to the PCC requirement. They further advised that each partial day outside Canada does not count toward the 183-day threshold requirement for obtaining a PCC in another country.

I just finished six months of daily commuting to Washington state from BC, returning home to BC each night.

It seemed they expected a separate entry in the calculator for each day of commute. This made sense to me in order to demonstrate that I returned home the same day I left and claim a day of presence in Canada for each of these days.

Yes, it will make for a long physical presence calculation but that is the way it goes.

The Midnight return rule was what I thought too until I came across this document:

https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/resources/manuals/enf/enf23-eng.pdf

check section 6.4

Partial day presence is also considered as a full day towards citizenship, so even if you spend 1 min in canada it is still considered as a full day irrespective of the before Midnight return.

Congrats!
RE: the PR card, no worries, i think swapping the PR card for a citizenship certificate is a good deal ;)
