Hello Seniors,

Need some suggestion now. Like many of us...my case is no different :'(. I have done my medical in May and sent my PCC in June end and since then I am waiting.

Thinking to request for GCMS notes, but I am no longer in Canada and so need to authorize my friend who is in Canada, so that he can request on my behalf.

My question is what shall I mention in the letter. Can some one reply the format; if we have any for this. Also, my wife is my dependent, so will she also need to give one authorization letter separately or I can mention her name in my letter itself and get her sign as well.

Please guide me on this.

Thanks,
Tutu

Hi,

I am in the same situation, also applied in October 2013. Got a request to do my medical in May, done in late May and uploaded in June. Got a request to pay RPRF fees in early June as well, which I paid the same day. Since then my status is still "in progress" when I check ECAS. Not even acknowledgment of reception of medical yet. Is it normal for the ECAS to not update status in months?

Hi js2014,

I am really not sure what is normal and what is not. Ideally they should update the status but in actual this is not happening. So not sure on this part.

Thanks

Congrats..!!

Don't not in any circumstance send your passport to Canada if you are outside Canada and if you hold Indian Passport.

Inform CIC that as you are outside Canada and it is not possible for you to send passport to CPC-Ottawa because Indian Law doesn't allow that. So incase if you are in India then request them to do stamping procedure at NDVO.
