Apply for bridge extension work permit for one year with CEC file number.

I am guessing that she is on a visitor visa, cause she mentioned she can not re-apply. If she is on visitor permit she can not apply for BOWP. All she can do is to get another 6 months of visitor. And they will grant her another permit for sure (if she meets the requirements like bank account balance, etc.). On the other hand if she is on a work permit, then yes she can most probably go for a BOWP.

As mentioned by rezafc and harji , if you are on wp , apply for bowp so that you don't have to worry abt the Jul 17 date.

I believe CIC is just taking a precaution and doing a confirmation test. Given that u are already taking medication would help your matter. Dunno worry, you should just be fine and get your ppr once you submit the test results.

I thought that even if the spouse is currently on a visitor record, the primary applicant can apply for the bowp and also include an open work permit application for the spouse with the same bowp request.

Yes thats normal, there is no biodata request anymore, it's now part of the ME.

Just got an email from CIC asking for a fresh PCC from home country.
I had already submitted all original PCCs with my application in Oct 2013 and then an RCMP in May 2014. Don't know what is cooking up. Anyways will start the process of obtaining PCC.

On a side note: A friend of mine who is an Oct 2013 applicant (not listed in the spreadsheet) did medicals on 28-May and got passport request yesterday.

Hi guys,

My boyfriend and I did the medicals in May 5th and on the 9th they were uploaded. Our ECAS did not change so I started to be worried.

Today I received a letter from the CIC asking me for additional medical test to be carried out.

When the immigration doctor saw me, mentioned that my thyroid looked big and that I should go to be checked out. Next day I went to the doctor and did a blood test and it turned out that I have hyperthyroidism. I am on medication right now but it doesn´t seem to be something serious.

I thought immigration looks for serious illness, I am afraid that I get refuse because of this since I could never reapply.

All the process is delayed now and my current visa is expiring in July 17th. Any advise??

Hi, You need not to worry this is one of the common issue and I can assure you as me and my wife both have this disease. Go for BOWP if you are scared of timeline.

Hi, I have been requested to produce PCC by June 30th. But looks like it will take some to get PCC from India. If I don't submit by the date, is there any possibility of getting my application rejected?. Is there any way to extend the date?

But my attorney says, this is normal and they asked me not to rely on ECAS...
