I don't think everyone from Oct'13 received their AOR. You can verify same from Oct' 13 spread sheet. And most probably nothing much can be done till the time you receive some communication from CIC.

guys, Are you making fun of me?

October applicants were receiving AORs in order of filing their applications. We monitored it closely and we exactly knew (with aproximation to 2 days) who will receive the AOR on what day. If you do not have your AOR and you applied in October you have to try to log in ECAS. If this does not work for you, it means your application is on its way back to you.

Case closed.

Hi ..I checked on ECAS and its shows that my application was received on 11th October...but I didn't get any file no yet...

send them an email if you want your file number, trlling that you havent received anything, but as you can log in to ECAS, you are happily after the first stage. Now a few months of silence.

Second that. Include your UCI, DoB and name in the email so they can find your application.

Ahoi Comrades,

I have a quick question.

I am a late October successful applicant so far. I am not opening a new thread as it would me inapropriate, I am sure the answer is here but it is easier to ask you than searching.

I want to send CIC an extension to my job description letter as the one I provided is not too good. The company gave me a template only and the company has changed a bit. There is more buyers in the department now and responsibilities are diluted among more people.

To the point:

I need a few weeks to prepare the extension:
- I have to talk to my manager first
- then he has to to talk to HR and possibly to senior managemeent
- He might need to talk to some vendors as well for ssome reference letters.
(I already attached the reference letter from my Manager as an extension to my job description. The letter is nice but there is nothing to cover my job versus NOC requirements. Manager is professional and he does not want to overwrite or change what HR wrote)

Nothing can be done with HR directly. They act like they fear to breathe. (They gave me just a current generic so far and I want my manager to make them give an extension)

Please advise how much time do I have to provide the document before they actually start processing my eligibility?

Thank you in advance,

I love you guys all, and do appreciate your openess and efforts. I would like to receive answers from people who have a solid input on a similar case. (How much time do we have after AOR and before eligibility processing?) A solid answer may come from someone who was rejected because of eligibility with the first time his/her file was open. Or from a person familiar with GMCS notes if applicable or anyone else.

As a late October applicant I believe I have time till mid February at least. Please advise.

You have plenty of time. My VO appeared to have spent about 30 mins on my application before sending MR
However: keep in mind that your application is assessed at the point of application date. Therefore if you had the correct duties at time of application, there is no need to send a new letter.
Secondly, does your current letter reflect the noc duties? If so, again, no need to update

Finally your line about being easier to ask than search is really not how Id recommend talking on this forum - it shows laziness and ignorance in wanting others to spend time on you without you taking the time to help yourself.

Byrwus, so your concern is that the vo might trace your case 1474 which is unskilled? 1474 has been superseded by 1524 of noc 2011, from the description you attached, it mainly conforms to 1225 but with 1 or 2 looks like 1524, the inventory clerk. But to me, the letter is good enough.

As many other seniors suggested, it might be a risk to send an updated letter which would confused the vo. The occasions that worked from other posts were where the letter was very little description or no duties at all. But in your case, it seems the description is decent, you just wanted to add moe to conform closer to your noc? Which I would not do that if I were you.

most of big co only provides the letter with standard description same as recruitment, this happened to me also. But nothing I can do about ithough it did not reflect exactly what I am doing in reality, but no exceptions to all my colleagues applying for the pr. But I believe it should be fine given that the vo would need to consider the case as a whole such ad education, salary though it is not required explicitly, but these factors have to be taken into account.

To my view, your letter is good. But, it is just my personal thoughts. Good luck.

Thanks for the rating.

My understanding of "extension" is you are going to elaborate your duties based on the above without any alterations? If so, it might work. I would also suggest to have a explanation letter clearly explaining why you are sending this. As you know, sending updated letter inclines to cause confusions to vo. It is double edged swords.

It is also no harm to hear what the other seniors or ppl with similar experience say to be sure.

All the best luck!
