To brief you, I did not receive AOR but in ECAS it shows “Appliction Received”. I am trying to find my file number.

byrwus has suggested me to check with the few file numbers like E00015xxxx

CIC has received my file on 15th Of October. Can someone (whose application was received by CIC on 15th OCT) send me your file number so that I can check in the same range for myself.

I don't think someone will give the file number, you should call CIC. The best option. Because file number same as UCI, is private number. Thank.

Second that. Call CIC hotline, talk to an agent. They should be able to help you out.

i applied to CIC under CEC on the date of 7th October 2013 and online status shows that its received by CIC on 11th October.But still now i didnt get any file no from CIC. can anyone tell me how long need to get file no. because i checked it via online with my client id. anyone can share please.

Hi Roney,

If you can see your status as received on ECAS. Then send a mail to
"OttPilot-Immigration @ cic.gc.ca"

Mention you all details like

1. Surname (last name)–
2. Given name(s) (first name)–
3. Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD) -
4. Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number -
5. Type of application - Canadian Experience Class
6. Date application was received -
7. Country of origin -

and ask for your file number.

I never received any email but I was finally able to check my status on ecas 2 days ago.

Hello Family,


I have a question to the people with experience on the following:

I left Canada and I am going to take over a professional position in my home country for a few months.

I want to update CIC Ottawa about it but I am waiting a little bit so there will be just one update:

- address
- travel
- employment.

I want to send just one update file, how long do you think I can wait till I send the information to CIC Ottawa?
I am an October applicant and I believe there will be just dust on my file until around May 2014.

Update them as soon as possible. If you move, email them with a new address. If there's changes in your
employment situation, email them. You don't have to inform them about travels tho.

if not then how CIC can take to send that AOR?

Please answer because i am so worried about my application because its received at 11th October but still didnt get any file no(AOR)....
