Surrender certificate status - printed on passportseva website how long would it take to move from this state to Ready for collection and then Ready for Dispatch, so i can time it and book OCI appointments, shoot this doesn't end, yikes!!

its been 7 days since it is in 'printed' status. BLS still shows 'processing at consulate'. 7 days just to ship it to me. Really annoying ...

Mine was showing “printed” status on 21-Jan and I received my OCI card on today 26-Jan. BLS website changed status on 25-Jan.

Has anyone been able to fill out the online entry visa application form lately?

When I click on "Regular/paper visa ..." the link fails to open with a "too many redirects" error. I have tried chrome and safari so far.
Any ideas anyone?

Question abt OCI application for minor - Should I have my teenage child sign the Declaration portion on the application?
Parent has signed the bottom portion.
Also, who should self attest the copies of passport etc - parent or child?

OCI timeline for my child. A long wait comes to an end. Thanks to valuable posts from members on this forum, it was really helpful in preparation of my child's OCI application.

1. Walk-in application at Brampton BLS: Dec 1st, 2021
2. BLS status changed to Processing at Consulate General within 4-5 days
3. Acknowledgment date on OCI website: Dec 15th, 2021
4. No updates until 19th Jan, 2022
5. OCI website status changed to printed, processed and received at Toronto on 20th Jan, 2022
6. BLS status changed to counter delivery on 24th Jan, 2022
7. BLS status changed to passport ready for dispatch after OCI stamping on 25th Jan, 2022
8. Received OCI booklet on 26th Jan, 2022 via Purolator.

Hi all. I am seeing the status in BLS as "Passport ready For Collection after OCI stamping" ipaid for 2 way BLS courier. Should I collect the OCI by hand or will it be delivered to my location. Little confused

The Canadian passport takes a while to come by mail. Afterwards, the surrender application and then the OCI will also take time.
Is it possible to submit in person surrender application before receiving Canadian passport? So has anyone recently applied for surrender just with certificate? What are the additional documents required?

Yes you can apply surrender without Canadian passport. You need to explain it in a letter. Make sure you have original Citizenship certificate.

Hello Vik, plan to do citizenship surrender for me and my family through courier. Assume the only original that needs to be sent is our Indian passports?

For the courier did you choose the combined pick-up and drop-off option here? https://blsindia-canada.com/postalbls/ BLS is charging $200 for this ($60 for single package pickup + $140 for 4 separate drop offs).

Hi Prash, That is correct. You only need to submit the original latest Indian passport with your surrender application and it will be returned to you after cancellation.
For courier fee, I paid around $130 for my single application that included all the pickup and drop-offs of my OCI and Indian passport along with an affidavit that I submitted for my name variation(returned to me after verification via courier as well).

Part B of the OCI application asks for "Have you/any member of your family applied for Overseas Citizen of India registration earlier"

Do they mean immediate family like Mother, Father or Sibling? Or does it also include Uncles, aunts and cousins? I have an Uncle, Aunt and three cousins who have applied for OCI but I don't think I can get information such as Reference numbers, date of application from them.

Did you receive any update in bls site?
