@eas2lv My OCI was picked by Purolator at Thu. Nov. 16, 2023 - 2:00 p.m . I expect that to be delivered by Nov 17th. at my house.

I enclosed one single money order for BLS for 47 dollars and one single money order for CGI Toronto for 345 dollars. I sent my application from CAnada post, and I guess that delayed it by a week, as BLS never opened it till the time I called them and told them that I have the acknowledgment from Canada Post. The single money order for 47 dollars is for Purolator delivery fee + their standard processing fee.

I was told by the callcenter executive today that I should not have sent the money for purolator by money order as its processed by BLS staff on the phone, which is completely opposite of what is written on their website. I told him that if thats the case than they should write it as such on website.

some fishy business over there I guess.

Thanks a lot for maintaining the spreadsheet, it helps a lot for mental peace, when one can easily compare ones own status with others with similar timelines.

Dealing with BLS is a pain in the neck, and I guess by this time everyone is aware, they are class 1 certified expert in exporting pure unadulterated desi style bureaucratic harassment for applications

For applications by mail?

Yes, for postal mail. Its currently taking average 45 plus minus 3 days for sending the postal application and receiving the OCI, given that all documents are in order. Once the package is delivered at BLS, it is taking 42 days + minus 3 days. Acknowledement from OCI website further takes approx 21 days after delivery, processing and delivery to Toronto CGI is further 21 days approx.

My advise, do not bother to go to BLS office, its just not good for your mood for the rest of the day. You wont be saving money as you would be spending time and gas to go there.

just spend the money on purolator, its sarkari extortion, but if you opt for Canada post, then it may delay things and you will have to call a few times to push them to look at your application

Hi Folks !

I applied for our infant`s OCI earlier (Application date Oct 20) and then applied for entry visa as our travel date was near. In case we receive the entry visa we will be flying to India as per plan. However, the OCI will get processed and delivered behind us. What`s the current process for OCI delivery? Can someone else collect it on our behalf or will it go back to the consulate ? Any guidance?
