OCI process

In Toronto I have seen most between 11 am to 12:30 pm EST and few late afternoon (will show with next day's date in IST). I do not think there is a precise time though -- hopefully they work whole day (Ottawa excepted.. lol..)
Those who do not want to check every 5 minutes, try 1pm EST and 6pm EST to give some time for data to sync (or only 6pm EST if just once per day) on local working days.

Thanks for the details I applied walk in on 26 sep at Vancouver bls and got my acknowledgment on 28 sep just waiting to get the status to be changed and fingers crossed because I have my tickets booked for Nov 26 and I am hoping that I will be fine by then right.

You have plenty of time. Panic only if you do not find any updates in next 10 days.

I have my tickets booked for Nov 26 too, my OCI ack is Oct 18th. I am almost hitting corners. But I am going for entry visa tomorrow. Risk worth taking based on what forum members said, it is being processed in a day or two.

Good idea better safe then sorry and as per the posts I have seen yesterday looks like you can get the entry visa in a week or so like you will have your passport in a week after visa stamping and you will see the funny thing will the day you got your visa you will also get oci too so hang in there and best of luck

I will also suggest you to apply for entry visa. My OCI ack is Oct12th and process is still under process on OCI track application and bls website shows processing at consulate general. So not sure how much more time it will still take. I am also going to submit entry visa application tomorrow in Vancouver location as a hope to get the visa in a week. As, I have to go to India before Nov8/23 and still struggling..

Your best bet is Entry visa -- Oct 12th Ack in Vancouver is too late to meet Nov 8 travel.
