We r planning to go India by the end of July and wish it to be with parents as their visa extension is expiring by then. We applied new minor OCI applications for our babies on June 1st visiting BLS Brampton in-person.
Date of acknowledgements are 6th & 7th of June. Originals were sent together by 16th of June. Still oci status enquiry shows Under-process for both applications.
Just wanted to know from ur ideas or experiences if this is a good time to book our tickets for july end hoping to get oci by that time or not? How long would it take to get it done pls.

Back in Dec (end of the month) when we applied in person at Brampton it used to take around 20+ days just to get acknowledgment date on the OCI website followed by another 30 days to get dates against the remaining OCI printed etc on the OCI website.
I read that through various members that this process has been quicker in the last few months. Applicants are getting acknowledgment in 4-5 days of applying followed by 3-4 weeks(or earlier) of processing. So things are getting better when it comes to processing times
I would say as an estimate if your travel dates are end of skill it should not be an issue considering you would have submitted the documents beginning of June.
Given the trends I think worst case scenario you should expect the OCI by the second week of Jul.

Could anyone provide recent processing times for OCI application (sent by post) for BLS Brampton?
Website says: The minimum processing time to return the original documents is 7-15 working days. Issuance of OCI Booklet -4- 5 Weeks.
But I keep seeing folks with shorter timelines, so just thought to ask here.

These days i would say 4-6 weeks you can get the OCI in your hand if you submit it in person.
For mail in application add a few days/week more to it
Processing via Ottawa and Vancouver is much faster i.e. issuance is within 4 weeks or under.

Hi friends, appointments are now opened for next 3 months on BLS website. Only 2 appointments are possible per mobile number & I think only one per email address. I suggest to book additional appointments if possible as it might be needed by you or someone else in the group.

My husband's document printed on 21/06/2023 and dispatched and received at Toronto 21/06/2023. I paid for pickup and dropoff and I still see that OCI is being processed at consulate general as the status in BLS tracking. How long do they take to dispatch? Do you know?My timeline:

Hello Guys,
I have summitted in person application last Friday at BLS Brampton and did not opt for currier service so I need to go to BLS Brampton office to collect it in person once status says ready for collection.
Has anyone here collected documents in person here from BLS? if yes then how much wait time in line/queue is expected? is it as bad as 4 to 5 hours?
