have you tried filling in the form? i think it generates a barcode/date stamp, and also it needs SC number (not sure though). i just dropped the idea mid-way. it won't take a lot of time when we do this after we have the SC.
Just fill the form but do not submit
You will provided with a application# which can use to login and retrieve and further work on your application

No its not so busy now days there is alot of appointments available too but go around 6:30-6:45 am and u will be in first few list many be 4-5 guys. Then they open 8 am for surrender passport and oci i went around same time. And honestly 8 am they open i was out of bls 8:15 am both time. Pretty fast service

I am about to apply for OCI now, but OCI checklist regarding marital status states: If divorced in Canada, the divorce certificated should be attested from the Ministry of Ontario and further attested by the Consulate General of India, Toronto.
Anyone who can guide me of what kind of attestation is needed if marriage and divorce were in Canada and how many days does it take? I checked CGI website for attestation process but the FAQ only mentions about marriages in India and divorced in Canada.

Yes, I started filling but didn't submit. Just thought to confirm. Any update on your surrender certificate?
nope. processing at consulate.... maybe coming week there should be an update.

the Affidavit is required, it should state that you have never changed your name officially and explain the reason of mismatch which consulate is already aware of.
your OCI booklet will be same as the candian passport.
Please fill all the detail in the OCI form, same as Canadian passport.

Maybe that is not valid for you as you are married and divorced in Canada. Better to call or email CGI or HCI and confirm. Use that communication when you file your application as BLS may come up with there own rules.
How long does it take on average to process OCI in Vancouver?. Just curious as I submitted my application on last month
