They told me I had to have an appointment. BLS is full of sh*t and lied to me. Even for pick up. They want you to pay for courier. I'm so done with Indian paperwork.

Above is the link from BLS about walk in applications. I think they are lazy to process in person form.

One of my friend applied for police verification via postal. They just simply returned application using his return envelop instead of asking clarification over phone or email. He spent almost 50+ to resend another form with return envelope.

Can you share that when you noticed : OCI application processing in CGI: and on that status screen of BLS tracking site which date was showing your application date and file reference was same as was printed at the time of submitting online OCI application start with CANTxxxx Regards

Hi,
My husband planning to apply for OCI .does he need to submit my PR card in the OCI application.
As i am waiting for my Oath .I don't know when i am going to get my Oath.Please can someone clarify my doubt.

Congrats. So you received it on 14th oct , 5 days after BLS centre got it.
Do you know if it is advisable to opt for self pick up rather than courier; it will save 5 days.

yes, i received it on the 14th but i did notice on the purolator envelope that it was prepared on October 13.

I have never picked up anything and not sure with the cases rising again if they will make it appointments only again. so just be safe and use the courier and it will definitely reach you.

Thanks for the reply. Actually I am waiting for my Canadian passport. As soon as it arrives , I will apply for OCI + surrender.
I have a query about documents if you don't mind;
1. Is COPR required for OCI + surrender ? If yes, original or copy?
2. Is original Canada Citizenship certificate to be submitted or only copy?
3. For single people BLS has written on their website that they want declaration of unmarried status. Is that correct?
( if you are single, you will know)

BLS told me that the CoPR will come in about 4 weeks from date of application. Cancelled Indian PP is also around that time. OCI is 6 weeks. I have applied in Sep 28. I only see that PP as processing at CGI when i try the tracking no. I dont see any update for the OCI yet(record not found).

Thanks. Just one question about the fees. I have a $ 425 draft for OCI. Can I pay the rest in Cash ?
How much cash will it be if I submit in person and opt for 2 courier deliveries?

I was never asked for original CoPR. @s23srinivas can you confirm?

I did a walk-in application at BLS Brampton. The BLS personnel checked and returned my COPR.
The only original they retained with the application was my Indian passport. Rest all documents were self attested photocopy.
