Hello Everyone ,

I don't know if there are many people from Nova Scotia in this forum , but It would be nice if you can post your time to get the oath letter/notice after the test.

A few of us here from NS. I have not applied yet. But soon hopefully. I heard there is no whole a lot applications for NS but it is very slow!I have had friends got their citizenship in 3 years even though they never left the country...

Acknowledgment application received: February 2013
RQ returned: June 2013
Interview: June 2014 (no test because of age)
Oath: _______

I've read postings on another forum by someone in Nova Scotia who states they submitted their application four years ago, and were finally called for their test/interview within the last few months.

I could only wish. I'm in PEI and we've just had the 3rd Citizenship Ceremony of the year scheduled for Oct 17. Montreal has 30 in September alone. Starting to feel that I'm at the wrong address. NS and PEI seem to be at the same speed. Maybe they need more Citizenship Court Officials????

I don't require the test either .. but it doesn't seem to have sped anything up ...

Do you always check online on what's happening to your application? Or do you call the CIC call centre?

I've called CIC twice. Nice agents but couldn't tell me a whole lot. So, I check on line and hope for the best. Would love to be done with this waiting. It'd be nice to be a Canadian finally.

Yup! Mine is next week. Last week I met someone who had their test in June and received the oath letter 3 weeks after. It seems things slowed down a bit after.

Congrats! When did you have your test? I still don't have a letter, have test and interview last May 2014. No reasons whatsoever when I tried to call CIC.

Thanks. My test was in August 2014. You may want to order your GCMS notes to see what's going on, just in case your file got missed in the pile.

GCMS? Is it the same with ATIP files? Thanks a lot.

Yes. GCMS (Global Case Management S... I forget what the 'S' stands for) is the 'database' that contains electronics notes about applicants. Making an ATIP request gives you access to those notes.

Thanks. I ordered ATIP just last Sept. 26 via email and I haven't received it yet.
