    Oath Timeline - Nova Scotia - Halifax - 2014

I've called CIC twice. Nice agents but couldn't tell me a whole lot. So, I check on line and hope for the best. Would love to be done with this waiting. It'd be nice to be a Canadian finally. :)

    Oath Timeline - Nova Scotia - Halifax - 2014

I could only wish. I'm in PEI and we've just had the 3rd Citizenship Ceremony of the year scheduled for Oct 17. Montreal has 30 in September alone. Starting to feel that I'm at the wrong address. NS and PEI seem to be at the same speed. Maybe they need more Citizenship Court Officials...

    Application returned - incomplete

I received mine returned to me within 5 weeks. I wrote the explanation up and sent it back the day after I received it. I used a national courier service with request for confirmation of delivery each time I sent anything to them. Hope this helps.

    Application returned - incomplete

This worked for me. The AOR (acknowledgment of receipt) is the same day as the receipt of revised (the day they got the extra information) application on my time line now. Good Luck.

    September 2013 Citizenship Application

I recently heard the 2 year quote as well. Must be standard comment to avoid getting people's hopes up. Or, it stops people from phoning every week or two. It must take a lot of time out of the work day if they're having to answer the same questions week after week with nothing new to tell...

    Oath Timeline - Nova Scotia - Halifax - 2014

Congrats to you and bobisnoob .. Definitely a day to remember for both of you. I'm in PEI. My local office is Halifax. I don't see any upcoming interviews or ceremonies. And if there were, I wonder if I'd be required to head to Halifax or if they put on special itinerant sessions in...

    November 2013 Citizenship Application

I think Halifax is slower than Vancouver. Application received October 30th (see almost November) Started processing March 11th (No need for test as over 55) No updates, no changes .. single applicant. Waiting is wearisome.

    Oath Timeline - Nova Scotia - Halifax - 2014

Wondering if there's still a chance to get called in for July 1st. I'm so tired of waiting and wondering. Mine is a really straight forward case (as far as I know). I've been in Canada for way longer than required, am over 55 so don't have to take the test, have been a model citizen, full time...

    Oath Timeline - Nova Scotia - Halifax - 2014

I'm in Prince Edward Island but since there isn't a CIC office here I believe files are processed through Halifax after they've been in Sydney. My time line: AOR October 30th, 2013. In Process March 11, 2014. Don't need to do the test due to age :) I telephoned Sydney for the first and only...

    October 2013 Citizenship Applications

Cost cutting again. I've been reading through the thread and trying to figure out what all the different acronyms mean .. I'm slowly clueing in but it's taken me a while. What are all the different 'checks'? Silly me, I thought a quick criminal background check and a few ticks in the right...

    October 2013 Citizenship Applications

MrBravo, I have to thank you. I thought we no longer had a CIC office on the island, so didn't bother checking. Citizenship ceremonies are held in one of the downtown hotels nowadays, though. Thank you for your help.
