No, it’s virtual, my processing office is Ottawa but the Niagara Falls office is coordinating this ceremony for us.Oh Nice! Is yours in-person?
I have not received the email with ceremony details yet. IRCC portal says ceremony scheduled for Apr 25. Called IRCC they said you will get an email, they also informed me that ceremony is going to be in Mississauga office, in-person. Now this Strike might change things for me.No, it’s virtual, my processing office is Ottawa but the Niagara Falls office is coordinating this ceremony for us.
Not sure whether it’s going to happen, I am travelling from US for this ceremony on Monday morning .
No, though it’s virtual, we need to take it from land of Canada.I have not received the email with ceremony details yet. IRCC portal says ceremony scheduled for Apr 25. I just hope the strike is over by weekend. Otherwise who know what will happen. I have waited 3 year for this day.
If it is virtual for you, do you have to be in Canada? Can't you attend the ceremony from US?
Just FYI, i just called IRCC again. She said it will be rescheduled. . Waiting for email now.No, though it’s virtual, we need to take it from land of Canada.
Yours was supposed to be on April 25th?Just FYI, i just called IRCC again. She said it will be rescheduled. . Waiting for email now.
Yes, Mississauga.Yours was supposed to be on April 25th?
I was reading about it. I think it s the rule/law that during such times only the emergency (ones considered emergency under law) services will be provided. It is disappointing that after such a long waiting process we are stuck with this strike. Even if the strike is over next week, it will introduce several months of delay for us (in my opinion).Biggest irony is that the IRCC agents are working, but the oath officers can't work. Well, I am happy that the call center agents are working, but its just silly.
yes, mine was today Apr 21 at 1 pm EST and it didn’t happen.I was unaware of this strike situation and sadly I’ve not even got any prior cancellation notice from Missisauga office. I’ve emailed them after waiting for almost 30 mins for the zoom ceremony to start.Anyone got their oath ceremony on Friday or Monday ?
Did you receive the confirmation email before receiving the cancellation one?I received cancellation email for my ceremony on Monday, April 24th, I’m happy at least they notified me about this.
Yes I did receive the official invite on Monday, 17th, exactly 1 week before the ceremony, and now the cancellation email. If you were supposed to have it on 27th, then maybe you would’ve received the official invite on 20th, but most probably they didn’t send out any invites, because it was a strike day.Did you receive the confirmation email before receiving the cancellation one?
My ceremony is supposedly scheduled for the 27th but so far I haven't gotten either one of the emails.
Yes, I'm afraid they may not even bother sending me a cancellation email since there was no confirmation in the first place lolYes I did receive the official invite on Monday, 17th, exactly 1 week before the ceremony, and now the cancellation email.
