I don’t know how the rescheduling due to strike will happen! I was just suggesting not to ask for reschedule yourself. If the IRCC cancels you due to strike, that’s one thing. And if you ask for reschedule yourself, that’s another thing. Because you know how this kind of reschedules were treated...

I think you should not ask a reschedule yourself, unless you want a 3-6months delay in your application.

I suggest to follow the Twitter account of PSAC. They tweet frequently. And by the looks of it, the strike is not close to ending by Monday

I’m not sure I’m understanding this comment correctly… Because I wrote about my cancelled ceremony here, but I’ve also been waiting for my application to be processed for 19 months now.

This is thoughtful of those people who are traveling to Canada from overseas just to attend the ceremony.

There were cases like this during “normal days”. But these days it all depends on when they will come to a resolution, and go back to normal days.

And if you didn’t have the official confirmation, that means you wouldn’t be able to connect to zoom meeting anyway, so there’s nothing to cancel for you.

I guess it depends on the office. Maybe it would be more accurate to say all ceremonies in Scarborough and Mississauga offices are being cancelled. This is what we are seeing so far.

Yes I did receive the official invite on Monday, 17th, exactly 1 week before the ceremony, and now the cancellation email. If you were supposed to have it on 27th, then maybe you would’ve received the official invite on 20th, but most probably they didn’t send out any invites, because it was a...

But you know how the rescheduling normally works with IRCC. So, honestly, I don’t want to have high hopes, and then get disappointed again.
