Agreed, this rules were in 2010

At that time we were not submitting original IELTS or even PCC
We just fill the form in correct manner and send it with payment. After approval from CIC, we get 120 days to submit all documents in original except education attested docs

Now CIC is asking all docs initially and approving it and then respective visa office process it

Hope u got my point

Dear Islandbabe,

Thanks for replying. I have been researching for last two days and the suggestion that I mentioned earlier that both the reports are same and hence I can use the report that I received for normal evaluation done before FSW thing was announced, this suggestion has been given by WES itself. They said because time is important I can use the same report meanwhile my second request would be completed. This all happened because of the inefficiency of Canada Post.

I want to make sure that the report in my hand is same for FSW report that you have received. Because I don't want to take any chances at this stage as you know CIC will never give anyone another chance when they open the file for evaluation. My file was already returned last time for some foolish reason.

The sample report looks like this on WES website at this link wes.org/ca/apply/popups.asp?where=sample - > please add www before this link.(You got your assesment done in FSW category, Am I right?)

Please verify with your FSW report that you received by mail if it looks exactly like this. More importantly let me know what is exactly written in Ref # 1235577/XX what are the letters after "/" in your report. My report says "nn" I got course by course evalutaion done from WES.

What was your evaluation? Course by Course or Document by Document. Was there such option in FSW evaluation or not? I don't know.

I am applying for Physiotherapist 3142 from India.

Hi Kashka so we are in the EXACT same position,,,,,,husband on the list.....got assessment yesterday as well....The forms are still not updated though :(

where are you applying from and under which NOC? Maybe you should go ahead and at least fill out some of the old forms....all the forms may not change.

Hello Islandbabe: "Cool" said that no need for spouse education assessment as, as per the new rule to claim points for spouse, his/her's ielts score is needed and not education. Coz, I did not do my education assessment yet but did it for my wife as she is the main applicant.
Also, I could not see in CIC website that it says for sure IELTS is what they need and not ECA for spouse.

Any suggestions you might wanna give me? Thanks.

Hi canadachocaccon,

Thank you very much for the answer however I am still waiting from Islandbabe for the answer. What do you think these letters signify after "/" I have "nn" you have "ny"

Also anyone who have recieved back their ECA from WES can you please tell what are the two letters in reference no. after "/" ex Ref # 123456/xx in your report

Also please verify that if you applied before WES announced FSW process ( like me)or you sent after they announced and accepting it.

:(Help me guys.

Even I was assuming that they would need our spouses IELTS score to determine their language proficiency....but its not mentioned anywhere...moreover my husband hasn't taken the IELTS...and tomorrow if they publish that that's what they want...then i'm screwed...and will lose my opportunity again this year :( This whole process is so shady and they are unnecessarily making it so difficult for us to immigrate......

the kit is out

Not sure if the document checklist is updated then. It still says spouse education credentials are needed! I am just confused on this point alone!!

What's the confusion?

Coolguy - I went into this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp ==> "Applying as a Skilled Worker"
On the checklist of docs, i opened "Document Checklist [IMM 5612] (PDF, 233 KB)". That doc lists all the supporting docs to be provided.
It says" For you, your accompanying spouse or common law partner:
Post secondary education docs, college docs, university docs, transcripts etc"
So apart from sending WES evaluation report for main applicant, are we supposed to send photocopies of all the education documents??
