I am Jan 6 2016 applicant,

today I check my ECAS, that changed a lot

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 6, 2016.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 17, 2016.
3. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 18, 2016.
4. We started processing your application on March 18, 2016.
5. We sent you medical instructions on January 7, 2017. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
6. Medical results have been received.
7. We sent you correspondence on May 25, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Initially until yesterday
That is

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 6, 2016.

Any idea?

PS: I am Chinese, single, AINP inland.

Yesterday morning, I noticed my account shows "Update", and after 1 min, that changed back to "Submitted"

same thing with me too,yesterday when I logged in to my account it said update but after that it said submitted,and also ECAS looks little bit different. I'm August 2015 applicant

I am dec 29 2016 applicant. Got onmy medical req for me on jan 8 noy for my spoise as she did her medical last year jan 25 and passed on feb 9 2017 for her opw. So she never got her med req. Her medical expired on feb 2018. My status changed from passed to you do not need a medical test.
I got gcms notes. I passed eligibility, criminality but my medical status is Passed-Expired.
My security showinh not started. My file localtion is
PNP -MEDS PENDING.
Nothinh like Ready for PS or PS

Can u guys let me know if mu security is started or not?

This is not the regular PPR letter right? just a letter to request additional info/document? Doesn't mean my application is approved?

It can be that they are asking for new passport so they can approve your application and send you PPR.

My friend I wish I knew, I'm August 2015 applicant and still waiting,34 months for now

I don't know what to say or think anymore, I'm currently on the phone with cic waiting my turn to see if something is happening

Dont know why they started this emdical extension policy. This was started in 2012 to avoid delay on applications but now medical extension always delays the file. Instead of medical extension they should ask for new one.

I guess then not yet.

My file location was "PS-SEC-PENDING". And my security check start 5 month later after my file location becomes "PNP -MEDS PENDING".

By the way, not everyone need security check
