Got my COPR yesterday.

Please see timeline for rest of details.

Is it OK to land at Calgary International Airport (YYC) for first landing?

please let me know is YYC is ok as port of entry?

If you are landing by air I think you can land at any airport. We landed into that airport for a visa once and was absolutely fine.

Are you visa exempt? 3 weeks seems like a long time for them to process CoPR! Why does everything they do take much much longer than it should!

THANKS xingya for your encouraging word but I lost hope . I haven't been to home for 6 years and im depressed lonely guy .I cant take this anymore .Its taking toll on my mental health . I am just think about my future if I have made good decision coming .I cant able to progress in my career .I want to learn and progress in my career .But because of cic im stuck up and confined to single province and job

Brother we all are at same boat frustration level goes high because of home sickness and other factors just its matter of couple of months . I will say wait for couple of months. Good Luck

Hurray!!! Got decision made today after BG in process yesterday. December 21 applicant. In very good mood now. When do u get PPR after DM folks.

Yeah December 21 inland applicant with spouse. Got medical request on November 2 2016.
I think yours will come soon.

Thx for the reply! we have every process date the same. Medical passed around 20th in Nov. But i have nothing updated since then yet. So worried about it now. I have seen 23rd Dec applicant got DM as well. I called CIC last week, but the assistant didn't say much, just ask me to wait for the 16months finish. She even told me that my BG check not even started, that should have started like months before. oh lord, the more i think about it, the more i worry. Has CIC ever requested any additional doc after Medical request? Or did u pay for anything besides the pr fee?

hey honestly don't worry about those crazy guys statements at CIC call centre, they said the same stuuf to me as well that my background check is not even started and same day I got decision made, I have seen a lot of people including me whose background check went to inprogress just for the day so keep hopeful buddy..

Landed at Niagara Falls Rainbow bridge on Monday March 13th!!!
Finally this 2-year process ends happily... I won't be checking this forum often from now on, but thank you all for your sharing and positive attitude (I know frustration comes along the way too)!!

Does anyone know when and how to pay for the PR card fee? Should i wait for status changed like CoPr and then pay for it OR should i pay in advance? thx!
