Hi,

What's the process for UPFRONT MEDICAL?
I am not sure, some people say you just book an appointment for PNP Upfront Medicals.

Others say CIO has strict requirements and they ask do not send any documents unless required by them.

I wanted to do the upfront med exam, then I desided not to do it. The complete process of getting PR is probably going to take me 26-32 months and I am not willing to jeopardize my application just to save 1 or 2 months time by doing upfront medicals, I have come too far for this.

Hi Druce,

I am also thinking about getting upfront medical before, but in my case its a too risky, coz my baby is in another country and my husband and I have to travel, spend for the air fares just to meet our baby and get the upfront medical altogether, which is obviously too expensive for us. They said we can get medical anywhere in the world as long as its accredited by the CIC. But we chose to get medical together as a family.

I thought it was a "NOT SO SMART" idea for my case ( i don't know with others) I might be losing, time, money and efforts instead of gaining more.

So I also decided to take it slowly but surely and wait for the VO to request the medical.

;)

I think this is the safer option, and like they always say, better safe than sorry.

Good luck with the rest of your application.

Thanks Druce, goodluck to yours too!

I have questions, I don't know if you've answered this to other forum, but please be patient with me.

1. Did CIO emailed you about the Visa Office transfer? OR your ECAS was just updated and
2. Are you inland or outland?

HI,

I read from other applicants (May/June 2015 ) who did upfront medicals . It's very detailed there. Please browse through there comments, but I thought it doesn't make sense as you still have to wait for CIC to send you a medical email before you could forward the details to CIC

Note: I gathered this information from May /June 2015 applicants timeline, however, if i could wait for 17 months to receive nomination from Manitoba, I might as well chill and wait for CIC to issue the PR at their own pace

No, both inland and outland dies it

The email I received indicated to bring the MR email and here in Manila specifically St. Lukes it is a requirement before you can do a medical exam. I am not sure with the other clinic if they allow having medical exam without the MR from the VO.

No email from VO that they received the medical results but there was a line added on my ECAS that medical results have been received. But the status is still in process.

No problem my friend, I will gladly answer.

1. I did a Case Specific Enquiry and they sent me a e-mail from my Local Visa Office, Pretoria, South Africa that they have received my application

2. Outland, South Africa.

It will not matter as long as it is done by the institutions recognized by CIC.. Lizzycrown probably just feels that they want to do it together.

St. Luke's allows it without the MR (upfront), but for Express Entry.
