This is the same struggle that I'm having right now po regarding photo specifications. Confusing nga po ung nsa Checklist and Appendix A. Pede pong paadvice kng alin po dito ang susundin nmin:
1. send 6 photos, 5 of which with name, dob, date when the photo was taken and the 6th photo blank.

3. send 6 photos, 5 of which with name, dob, date when the photo was taken, then isa po dito sa lima ay my name and address ng studio other than the details of the picture bearer and the 6th photo blank.

although we followed the appendix a for photo specification, we did number 1, yan kasi ang nasa checklist. pero pag di naman yata nameet ang photo requirements eh nag rerequest sila, di naman nila binabalik

Me here.. CIC received our applications November 12,2015

CIC updated the Appendix A photo specification but did not update the check list and a lot of applicants got confused including myself. what i did was

1. name of the photographer, address and date photo taken were written at the back of ONE of the photo -- ( as mentioned by appendix A)

2. At the back of 5 (FIVE) photos, DOB, name of applicant and date photo taken written. ( as mentioned by check list)

Total 6 photos.

But remember that the checklist also mentioned that 1 (ONE) photo must be left blank.

what i did was to then gamble. I added a 7th photo left blank. CIC should decide on what they will do with the 7th photo because the instruction was confusing. All the best

Hi MAYMEI, as far as I know, whether paper based or EE application, the PROVINCE will assess your application if you have a STRONG CONNECTION on their said province. I am not giving you jitters on this, but normally applicants with lots of relatives/friends also with other provinces are having problems on their applications.

But its still depending on the officer in charge who will assess your papers.
