The problem with me, I signed it NOV-23, and they updated the picture size I think OCT-14 (based on what's showing on the system) Huhuhuh! I didn't check anymore and send it to CIO NOV-26, they received it DEC-02.

About the Generic Form, i don't know when they changed it exaclty. But its just the same month,NOV.

Lizzy, i got my photos clicked on nov22 and i check specification on that day like 5-6 time and that day it was 35*45 mm.. I think they changed on dec 1st.

Thank you so much! This informations are really a huge help for me! I might as well ask the studio to resize mine. They still have the softcopies there, will just ask them to print new set 50-70mm.

I am just not sure with the stamp, if they have. But it says that the information can be handwritten. I will check with the studo.

• bear the name and complete address of the photography studio;
• bear the date the photograph was taken;
• The photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable.


It was taken 2months ago so its should still be fine, I guess.

I called cic today he also said that wait for your aor and he said if you send it now their is no harm in that but he said to write letter of explanation and date and time they recieved our file and all peraonal details.. Its only game of 20 dollars to send xpress post . So why not take a chance to send photo again rather than getting our file back.. And i will courier so i know someone is recieving it and their name as well .

Lizzy, i ask guys who owns a studio and he said you can print same photos as you submitted but make sure you put same date the photo was taken before . Do not put today date. And if the photo that you sent before is old more than 6 months then click a new old.. If not more than 6 months then its good to go. And write a letter of explanation and add date and time who recieved your file and all personal details. And i will suggest to print 6 photos 50*70. Head size 31 to 36 . And get stamp of photographer and date photo was taken on 5 photos and leave 6 blank. And also write date of birth and name of person who appear on photo.. Then we will be good.. And send it by courier so you can actually know that they recieve our photos.

That studio guy might know some instances as well, probably been assiting some applicants like us.

You're right, no harm in trying, just few dollars and it might be the better way than waiting for another 3-4months for them to return the package. Like my case it took 4months before I got the returned package.

Hi Param, I am still waiting for the new sized photo from the studio in Philippines. I asked them to send it via DHL to PAPUA, the I will send it to CIO with the Generic Form.

I haven't done any explaination letter yet.Hahaha!!! I am still gathering my thoughts on what to pu in the letter.

Lizzy, no they did not recieved yet. I checked online it is shows they will recieve by tuesday. And i got my new photos today(50*70). So i am gonna write explanation soon and send them most probably on tuesday once i know they recieved my file.

Hi param,

we took the picture at the end of November 2015* like on the 27 th of November and the picture size was 50 x70 mm, I think they change it at the end of November, if you sign the paper before this date I think they will understand your situation, but you can send them the new pictures if you got advice from CIC agent. My problem was it was not the size of the picture, my 2 years old son shoulder and his hand was visible that makes me some how to worry about the picture but the phtograper grant us it is just normal for kids to have this kind of picture.
