It is when the date at the top right corner changes without any new updates showing in the tracker. That usually means someone worked on your file, but sometimes it can be simply a system update.

I took citizenship test on Jan 04, but the test result still does not show up on tracker as completed. Is it normal? It has been a week already!
In the requirements, I know that it says to have filed taxes for at least three years but I just read in a practices test app (not official) that you are also supposed to have paid any amount owing to the CRA. Is this true? I have a payment plan set up with them and don't want that to hold things up.

I think so, it took 2.5 weeks for my tracker to update (with Christmas/New Years in between)
It's should not cause any issue as you have something planned with another government co i.e. CRA

How many days does it usually take between seeing "Scheduled for citizenship test - Citizenship test. You've been scheduled to take citizenship test online between" and receiving the invite? And does the invite come from an specific CIC email address?
Its not a generic email as it comes from the office processing your application.
