My ECAS is in process since Feb 27, had a GU on march 1st and then after that complete silence...Not yet for me. usually it takes 2-3 days and since ours happened just before the weekend. I would give it a few more days
No change for me either. However my spouse, who did an online application in January and got an AoR on Jan 31st, also got a ghost update on Mar 2, so I think it's quite possible it was just a system update of sorts. All those with ECAS in process since March 2 or earlier, has your background check marked complete on new tracker?
Thank you for the detailed response. Its just that I have been following and analyzing current processing trend and ususally its somewhere between 24-48 hours lag between ECAS in process and BG completed but you are right it also depends on officer / processing office.my understanding is that ECAS in process for paper applicants means the file has been assigned our office relevant office for processing. Now it all depends on which one we got and how fast and slow they are. I am the unlucky one with Kitchener Waterloo one for sure due to the area of application being sent and they are considered to be the slowest one.
Usually it takes a week or so from ECAS in process to BG completed in tracker but again this is case to case. I have also seen people giving test and still BG was in progress and tracker wasn't updated. So I wouldn't worry much just yet.
Keep up the good hopes and trust me our process is much faster than prior applicants so thinking about that makes me feel better
I checked mine today - ECAS in progress for me as well. Jan 7 AOR, single application.ECAS in process today.
Not yet, my ECAS went in progress on/after Mar 3All those with ECAS in process since March 2 or earlier, has your background check marked complete on new tracker?
the one on March 2nd particularly was system wide..many of the users of tracker got the same one. But when there is an update what i understand is that they opened your file and working on it to update something.Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share a ghost update. (By the way, what exactly is a ghost update? Does it usually mean that someone is actively looking at our applications?)
Thanks!
