Hi Everyone,

Any idea how long does it take usually to receive the passport post PPR submission? Will they include COPR along with it? Also how long would the stamped visa be valid for?

Thank you

Depends on location but 2-4 weeks. Yes, they will include COPR. Both the copr and visa are typically valid for one year after the date of the medical examination - but you'll have to check. In many cases the passportrequest letter states what the final date of validity of the COPR will be.

Hello Everyone,
We are going to send our application very soon. I just have following doubts. Can you please share your opinion?

QUE: Do we have to select the yellow boxes or leave them blank or write N/A? Our answers for those questions are already selected in the box. But we are not sure do we have to select these yellow boxes or not since we selected "NO" for those questions and we will not be submitting any documents for that category. It is from checklist IMM5533. I have pasted a link to open the image since it does not allow me to paste the image itself.

Please share your opinion about what did you do for these questions. Really appreciate your time. Thank you.

Hi,

In my case, I did tick those boxes and for the ones that weren't applicable, I had simply marked 'NA'. Better not to leave them blank in my opinion.

Thanks!

Thank you. However I found on twitter that we do not have to select the main box if it does not apply to us. It was answered by IRCC for using Representative form. I guess it applies for the entire form.

Hi,
You are right. I recall for the box which represents ‘Medicals’ - we need to only tick this if we provide it upfront, although most people only submit their medicals post application submission.

Thanks for quick response.

Since I'm selecting "NO" for answers 2,3,4 I do not have to select main yellow box. Right?
I left medicals main box empty and wrote N/A in space below. I will provide it when requested.

Hi,
I got the pre-arrival letter on June 1st on GC key account. Mine is online outland application applied on Nov 28, 2021. The eligibility still shows in progress and background check not started on both the pr tracker and gc key login. Does it actually mean they're still doing these checks? Any idea how long it'd take to get passport request from here? My VO is mostly Ottawa. Thanks so much in advance.

Don’t worry, one day you will see Eligibility and Background completed at once. Portal is not updated most of the time.

Those of us that our application is not in Ottawa, after Medicals completed,it just feel like getting Eligibility and BC completed seem like a war. Why?
That is so correct. Visa offices outside of Ottawa feels like a punishment for wanting to bring our partners in.

Not always. My application is in Ottawa (Nov 28) and Medical passed on Mar 27. Eligibility hasn't even started.
