Background verification: was updated to Completed on Nov 23rd 2022
Test Invite Received: 30th Nov
Test Completed : 7th Dec
Citizenship Test: Updated to Completed on 8th Dec

Today the Background verification has been updated to In progress.

Wondering why Background Verification has been moved from Completed to In Progress..?? I was waiting for the LPP to be updated to Completed but the reverse has happened.

Can some one pls through some light on this. Thank you in advance.

If you had fingerprint, it is expired. You need to do again.

OMG.. this is too much for them to ask. It was their delay in the processing the applications and asking people to redo their bio metrics is ridiculous.

It ís not biometrics, ít is fingerprint for RCMP, check criminal

October 2022 it moved back to Back ground check In Progress, I requested ATIP notes and that mentions Fingerprints needed but never got the letter again, so now thinking I will get second fingerprints done as no point waiting for letter

Did you call IRCC? what was their response. This is just pathetic and ridiculous..

If you call they tell you what we see on Tracker they don’t generally give any additional information, I saw in ATIP notes that fingerprint request is sent as part of bulk update so may be it got missed. So now I am thinking no harm in getting done again and seeing if any progress happens

It happened to me, they requested another fingerprint as the previous one expired! Fingerprints are only valid for one year, they also sent me a citizenship test invitation although I finished my test 3 months ago and the result was validated and updated in the tracker as complete !

I read somewhere that background checks are valid for 1 year as well?
