November 2021 - Citizenship applications

Since you been through the entire process, do you know how long does it take for the BG check to complete? I might be wrong but it is around 140-168 days based on the spreadsheet. Also, family applications seem to go faster than online applications. I have a friend who applied June 12 2021 and is waiting for the Oath Invite. I would consider myself luck if I get test invitation until November or December of 2022. Go figure, sigh.

I haven't been through the whole process, lol. I got my AOR on January 25th and nothing since then.

My wife's application was submitted on November 1, 2021. Online. She has received AOR on Jan 28, 2022 and nothing since then. Even background check hasn't been completed yet. Are there any folks in the same situation? Thanks.

Today i got my BG completed, after they received the fingerprints on May 15th. Now we all 4 in the family application have BG complete. I didn't receive any email, just saw the update today a few minutes ago.
Now will wait to see what happens next!

@americanidiot I read your complaint about the work of the MP's. I totally understand your frustration. The problem is not your local MP; the situation is IRCC and the minister; as good politicians, they keep promising, but if you go to a processing office, you will see that they don't care about our applications. As you mentioned, they are still on vacation, working smoothly with the COVID flag to blame. Here, the minister complained about MP's reaching out to his office.

Now I realize that IRCC is in crisis. Unfortunately, politicians manage it, and they will talk about budget, new tools, new projects, etc. Again, the truth is that local offices don't have that sense of urgency. They don't really care about our applications, but that is not the problem. As a company service customers, they don't have the incentives to perform better. And I read that from another user, and that is true.
