I still haven’t received any update since AOR on Feb 2nd. Not even a test invitation. I’m gonna start forgetting everything I’ve been studying for in the last few months.

I guess that’s normal for me, being Lebanese and all. They took a long time for my PR bg check, but I don’t know why they’re taking long now. I only went to my home country twice. One of those times was cause IRCC asked me to provide fingerprints for my PR application, and they told me that it can only be done outside of Canada. I literally travelled all the way to my home country for 2 days just to complete my fingerprints for PR. Second time was to visit my family and that was in December 2019. Haven’t left Canada since.

I’m sure that if I send an email to IRCC, I either won’t get a reply or will get the automated template reply after 1 month. Should I try calling? Are GCMS notes worth requesting if I haven’t even gotten my test invitation yet?

Paper Application

Hello,

My wife and I did our citizenship test on April 29th 2022 & we both passed. My citizenship test status changed to "Completed" on May 3rd but my wife's test status is still showing "in progress" despite getting 20/20 . Would anyone advise as to how long does it take usually for status to change from in progress to complete for Citizenship test and are there anyone who is in similar situation where members from same household have got their citizenship test status updated on different days/dates ? Thanks

Yes, get the GCMS notes, it seems that they give you a better sense of what is happening with your file.

I just checked my tracker, and the date was updated to yesterday, but nothing has changed. Is that a ghost update?

I think it's a ghost update
It means something is happening in the next coming 2 weeks maybe a Fingerprint request, an Interview or an Oath letter.
I see on the sheet that your AOR was in December while most of us got it in Jan/Feb. Did you apply as urgent processing ?

Hello,

I applied for my two children as minors (paper application)
The time line as follows
Application sent on Novembre 15th
Received on Novembre 19th
AOR on January 17th 2022
Location:Calgary, Alberta
Physical presence: 12??

my question is the following,

I checked their application status this morning and I found un update dated yesterday May 9th
They mentioned that they sent me a letter or email requesting more information.

I checked my email and also my spam folder nothing was received.

do I have to worry? Do they send letters instead of emails?

what should I do if I don’t receive anything In the coming days.

please share with me your thoughts.

thanks

I think web form response time is 50-55 days . My March 18 web form was received on May 9 . i got email saying the document was forwarded to the responsible office and application tracker got updated also today .. now 'waiting on you' is gone and last updated is May 10 all substatus is 'In Progress' . It was In progress since the day i got AOR . Not sure if the processing will start from today or they were working on my file ..
