Hi, I am guessing that it must be Delhi or Bangalore. But yes I can tell u the dates
PPR received on 27th of December and
He submitted his passport on the 30th December
And the passport returned on 6th January.

My way too long wait ends here. Thanks for all the support throughout this process. It took really long for some of us. It took 13 months and 21 days after contacting the MP and MP made a call to NDVO the approved my application.

All the best to those who are still waiting.
Here is my timeline:

Application received on : 1st November 2018
Medical request on: 7th March 2019
Medical done on: 13th March 2019
Additional document request(wedding pics) : 12th March 2019
Additional documents sent on: 14th March 2019
Additional documents uploaded on: 19th March 2019
(I sent additional documents via all the three means emailed it, sent a web form and also uploaded on account)
File will be transferred email on 2nd April
Started processing on: 24th April 2019
Pre Arrival on 16th October
Passport request on: 27th December
Passport submitted on 30th December @ vfs Hyderabad
Received passport along with COPR on 21st Jan 2020.

Could you provide info on when in the process you contacted the MP (and if you know info such as when MP contacted IRCC/the visa office)? Any other description of how your interaction with MPs office went, what was needed and how it helped (even if just your impression) may help others.

Hi, sorry for the late response.

As far as I know you can contact MP only after your application has crossed the 12 months threshold (crossed 12 months from the date of application received date).
You can Google to find out your area MP, in my case my father in law went to the MP's office. MP made a call to the local visa office New Delhi, and asked my father in law to give her a month and it did actually came within a month as she promised.

I would strongly suggest that you have your spouse/sponsor visit/contact the MP though you can email them but I guess contacting them in person will help more to move your file or at least find out the status of your file.
