You are not alone..

My AOR is also 28 Nov and am stuck at IP2 since first week of April..
No ghost updates either.
20 November ,IP2 on 15 may.
Don't know what they are upto.
Any idea about the eligibility incase u called them

I got the interview email today at 5:00 pm PST. So I guess it was approved today.
Congratulations!
You were lucky. My application is approved on April 11 and I'm still waiting for interview email. They told me it can take 3 months for Vancuver VO as they are super backlogged.

Haha! Nov 04 AOR here. There are people in IP1 from previous months as well. There is no point in being frustrated. All we can do is wait and watch. People in IP2 can expect PPR this month. However, IP1 is a complete black hole. To clarify, I am not saying that being in IP2 is better than IP1 as many people have got PPR from IP1 pretty quickly once their files were picked up.

There is obviously a correct theory with respect to the way in which files are prioritized. It seems random to us since we are not aware of it. Wish we could resurrect Hawking to solve this one for us.

Every passing day spent here adds to the opportunity cost, as the ones left behind could have started their job search if they had received their PR. With the number of applicants increasing, the later one gets their PR the more difficult it will be to find a job. So it only seems fair to offer it to those who applied first. I am opining on this issue assuming that the people who got an ITA are on equal footing i.e. no discrimination based on country, religion, score, NOC, etc. However, this does not seem to be the case.

In terms of the transparency, I don't think IRCC can be more transparent. Firstly, there are always actual costs associated with transparency. For example, when one sends a CSE or orders GCMS (which is almost free as the third party charges you for GCMS and not IRCC), an agent has to spend time on processing the request. Second, there are obviously national security implications in terms of the exact process. If one knows the detailed process then it can always be exploited.

Lastly, I feel that the more one knows the more questions one will have. The moment applicants get to know that something has been done, they start calling/mailing IRCC asking about the next step. I am guilty of doing the same. Quoting from personal experience, I was really worried till 15 days ago regarding the status of my application as I had not received any update since my medical. I received my GCMS notes 15 days ago and found out that my eligibility had been met on December 20th and the file has not been touched since then. Now I am thinking that if it has not been touched till now, then what is the probability of it being picked up this month, or the next.

So let's just sit back and try to relax. It is easier said than done as I am also quite frustrated with the whole process. This forum is very informative and very helpful. Also a way to rant about the process which does make one feel better.

All the best to everybody.

AOR Nov 04 and IP1
Honestly I do feel IP1 is in much better situation than early IP2, which probably passed Cri, Eli but takes most of time in Security review that leads to more complicated progress...

Trust me!! I have sent numerous CSEs asking for an update and every time I received one of those two responses.

Sometime ago, I asked them if they were processing my application for permanent residency in Mars and I received the same generic response.

CSE is only good if you want them send them any documents.

@SithLord I am getting 70 points in the points calculator on australia. Do you think i should try for australia too? How much is the fees and do i need to hire an agent?
What's your AOR?

70 is the minimum score to qualify for Australian PR so I would say there is a chance.

Hello Everybody, just wanted to write this to keep a reference for people who might get desperate about their application. I am CEC applicant (jan 2nd 2019) and I just called a cic agent and told me that my app got APPROVED!! I was under review required for my Canadian employment and my score dropped!! I was shocked when i saw this on my notes received 8th of may (ordered 8th april). I asked the cic at that time an agent told me that they think your NOC was wrong. I was confident my noc was right but maybe the job description was vague! I was advised by a well known consultant that my app will be rejected for sure and i need to withdraw my application!! I was seriously devastated!!! I didn't listen to him instead I sent a new employment letter to better clarify my job duties, they received it on may 24th and my application got approved on may 28th!!!! I doubt they even saw the new letter. so now I am waiting for a landing interview in Etiobocke office! I am just writing this to let you all know that consultants are seriously bul**** and if you think you made a mistake go ahead and fix it, don't assume your app will be for sure rejected and don't withdraw it!!! thanks a lot! <3
