Haha! Nov 04 AOR here. There are people in IP1 from previous months as well. There is no point in being frustrated. All we can do is wait and watch. People in IP2 can expect PPR this month. However, IP1 is a complete black hole. To clarify, I am not saying that being in IP2 is better than IP1 as many people have got PPR from IP1 pretty quickly once their files were picked up.

There is obviously a correct theory with respect to the way in which files are prioritized. It seems random to us since we are not aware of it. Wish we could resurrect Hawking to solve this one for us.

Every passing day spent here adds to the opportunity cost, as the ones left behind could have started their job search if they had received their PR. With the number of applicants increasing, the later one gets their PR the more difficult it will be to find a job. So it only seems fair to offer it to those who applied first. I am opining on this issue assuming that the people who got an ITA are on equal footing i.e. no discrimination based on country, religion, score, NOC, etc. However, this does not seem to be the case.

In terms of the transparency, I don't think IRCC can be more transparent. Firstly, there are always actual costs associated with transparency. For example, when one sends a CSE or orders GCMS (which is almost free as the third party charges you for GCMS and not IRCC), an agent has to spend time on processing the request. Second, there are obviously national security implications in terms of the exact process. If one knows the detailed process then it can always be exploited.

Lastly, I feel that the more one knows the more questions one will have. The moment applicants get to know that something has been done, they start calling/mailing IRCC asking about the next step. I am guilty of doing the same. Quoting from personal experience, I was really worried till 15 days ago regarding the status of my application as I had not received any update since my medical. I received my GCMS notes 15 days ago and found out that my eligibility had been met on December 20th and the file has not been touched since then. Now I am thinking that if it has not been touched till now, then what is the probability of it being picked up this month, or the next.

So let's just sit back and try to relax. It is easier said than done as I am also quite frustrated with the whole process. This forum is very informative and very helpful. Also a way to rant about the process which does make one feel better.

All the best to everybody.
