Finally managed to get the new system to link up to our file;

We've already received our PPR, and MVO already has our passport for over a week and it looks like this:

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
Final decision Not Started

So, while better then the current eCAS, it still doesn't seem to be very good/up-to-date. Hoping for a DM this week *fingers crossed*.

could someone please tell me what to do or give me any advice.. I'm getting worried! :'(

Here's my time line:
Application date filed: October 26 2015
Medical: June 2015 upfront expired already
Additional info. Requested: February 2016 / mailed: March 2016
Still no PR or any update online.

Pls help!!! :(

When requesting help, it's often useful to include more information.

Which visa office is your application at? What documents did they request? Have you requested GCMS notes; if not, you should.

VO: Manila
They asked for NBI clearance because we only provides police clearance and asked for additional proof of my relationship with my wife. Like call and chat log.

What's GCMS? Where can I request that?
Also I emailed CIC regarding last month about my medical expiration date but they replied with: your application is within the processing time.

But if you've already received PPR, why would eligibility and background check still be in progress?

Exactly my point, this new system is still useless. People should continue to order GCMS notes.

I'll be ordering some soon; I just get a bit confused because I check two systems now, and I'm not sure which one is more up to date.

The MyCIC is not up to date yet. They just launched it and have many many applications being linked and I'm sure it will take a week or two before people start seeing accurate information in real time.

A member has his interview letter already and his MyCIC says interview is not needed.

The PPR and still in progress only strengthens my opinion that this is still a work in progress.

MyCIC was never meant to be a replacement for GCMS notes.

It's just an upgraded ECAS.

GCMS are the case file notes of your application.

It's an in depth look at what is happening with your file.

It will also include notes of the officer processing your file concerning your application.

Here is the link to order them

Just one thing after another, yikes!

My wife and I have a daughter born in the Philippines, since I'm Canadian she has right to Canadian citizenship, which we applied for months ago. When we received PPR we still had heard nothing, so we submitted my wife and daughters passport, along with proof that we applied for our daughters citizenship. Of course, only a few days later, we received her Citizenship document. Just today we got a call from the Canadian Embassy requesting we return the original (that they just sent us, mind you) so they can process our daughters temporary passport and allow her to return to Canada. ::)

Sigh. So, more delays. I think it's a 3 week edit: (20 working days, so 4 weeks) processing time for passports, looks like we'll be waiting another month before we can leave. Oh well.

Hello!!!
I just want to ask if I my wife needs PDOS as her PR- Spousal was approved by MANILA VO. She is currently in New Zealand as a resident there. Does any Philippine Requirements apply even if she is in New Zealand? Thank you!
