ive been seeing ordering notes for the application..can you please guide me on how to do that?does it gonna cost me something? THANX!!

On a side note. I wrote to the embassy's immigration department asking about the status of my wife's application and if they could shed some additional light on it, since this would help us in our planning, etc.

They wrote back to me after a week saying i wasn't authorized to receive info about my wife without written consent. They mentioned form IMM5475 (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf). Once this is filled out & sent to them, they will correspond with both side openly relating to status updates.

Hope this helps you and others as well.

Cheers

Received my GCMS notes today. It was 31 pages all in all. Here's the status of my application.

Eligibility: Recommended Pass
Security: Not started
Criminality: Not started
Medical: Passed

I'm really happy to see that we're almost done with the eligibility. Security and criminality are probably ongoing already since I requested for this a month ago.

Also, almost all Sept applicants from Manila already have PPRs and the October applicants are next up. I'm excited that things are moving forward for us finally! :)

That's awesome news, you're almost the same timeline as us, we just requested notes this past Monday, hoping to see similar status'!

Hello,

I received my Passport Request last week. For the stamping, I have to be in either Canada for atleast 3 months or be in India and send it from there.

However, I'm in USA on a work visa which is expiring on June 12, 2016. I have applied for an extension which is under processing. So, I cannot travel in the meantime.

Additionally, I have to submit the passport before June 24, 2016. Is there a way out of this? Would appreciate if anyone can shed some light.

Thanks.

We landed at the Calgary Airport June 1st and everything went really smoothly and quickly. Happy to say we are officially PRs now and at the end of this process. :)

I have no insight to offer; but congrats on the PPR! :)

On a different note, its now been 200 days since our app was received, here's hoping we hear some good news in the coming weeks.

1st , congratulations on your eligibility note , its a good one .

2nd , it's pretty interesting the way different VOs do their work , or perhaps different applications get treated differently within the same VO .

You see in your case they started working on your eligibility 1st , in my case they started working on Criminality 1st .
Criminality Under Process , Eligibility Not Started , Medical Pass .

why would they go to Criminality if they are not sure about eligibility ? weired stuff .

Thanks! I'm really happy that eligibility was already recommended passed.

Hmm, that is quite weird. From what I've read officers usually process the eligibility first then go on to criminality. Sometimes they've already finished the criminality check but they still wait for the eligibility to pass first before changing the criminality status. Which is why usually the dates for when eligibility and criminality are marked as passed are the same. Maybe the process of VOs are different though?

Another difference I noticed though is the sequence of ppr and dm. In the Manila VO, applicants receive Ppr first before DM. In other VOs though many get DM first before Ppr

Got my PR card yesterday :D Super happy, as I was sure I will need to resubmit new photos, but magically old ones were good enough :)

Congrats to all who received Decision made :)

And good luck to those still waiting :)

Hello all! First time posting in this thread. I am a November 2015 applicant. I had the medical exam sent in with my application, along with all fees, police check, etc. I was thorough and precise. There were no requests for clarification or missing documents. My spouse was approved as a sponsor in early January. In May they asked for a scan of my passport. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that that means it's coming soon. Does anyone know the protocol for inquiring about specific cases?

EDITED TO ADD:

Just logged in this morning and the application status reads: DECISION MADE. Based on the language on the website that means I have to wait for a formal decision in writing in the mail.

Hey! So happy to see so many people getting their PPRs!! Gives me some hope on receiving mine soon! I applied on the 19th of November 2015 and I'm starting to get anxious -- being away from my husband for so long is killing me inside! I'm wondering if emailing CIC will help? I emailed them with a few more pictures recently, they didn't ask but I did it anyway. I never get replies from them though. Anybody else on the same boat as me?

Hello Samsho39,

I know the feeling. I am away from my wife as well, waiting for my approval from Abu Dhabi VO. Waiting is definitely a painful process. I applied in October 2015 and they received my application in November. We are going to update our file as well by submitting more proof of relationship, although we did provide proof that we are together since 2011 and married in September 2015 at the time of submission.

I don't really know whether or not it would help emailing them. So yes, pretty much in the same boat as you are. May I ask where your Visa Office is?
