Is it DM first then PPR? Or the other way around?
Not necessarily, I think it depends on the VO.BlessedPheonix said:You get a Decision Made status. Then they mail you for Passport Request.
Hang in there, there's plenty of us still waiting togetherkawafam0919 said:It is 9:40pm, May 24th Japan time...and we are still waiting /sigh
We know they received our FBI check on May 13 since we got an email saying it was attached to our file...but I still have no idea how this Chinese police clearance thing is going to play out. The anxiety is really setting in. I am thinking of ordering notes again sometime next week to get more information on what is going on.
Is it only the sponsor that can link their account?crzy_canadian said:Check it out, you can register an account and then just link your file come Thursday when it opens: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1222&top=3
To be honest I'm not sure how it will work. My guess is it'll be using the Application #, but we'll have to see.jr4210 said:Is it only the sponsor that can link their account?
Oh wow I had no idea about this! Thanks for sharing!crzy_canadian said:Hang in there, there's plenty of us still waiting together
On the bright side, this Thursday (canadian time) so it'll likely be very late thursday evening or friday morning, the new online file viewing system goes live. I'm hoping it's detailed enough it'll make ordering GCMS notes a thing of the past.

As mentioned earlier, we are in the same situation (Japanese spouse, outland, Nov.)! There has been no change in our application status ("in process"), even 1.5 months after CIC received the requested police certificates by courier. I noticed on the CIC website that the application processing time for outland spousal applications from Japan has been updated to 11 months (it was previously 16 months).kawafam0919 said:Oh wow I had no idea about this! And thank you (and everyone else) for always being so supportive of myself and one another. It's one of the things keeping me sane in this situation!
Thanks for the reassurance. Of course each application/situation is unique but it's nice knowing we are all in this together! I guess most of the anxiety is from us not being able to receive my partner's Chinese police clearance and whether or not the documents we sent in are enough for Ottawa to waive it. Also, my work visa is up in August and that's when I'll go back to Canada (hopefully with my partner but we'll see how long DM takes!) so the reality of the move and all the packing/prep and whatnot is starting to settle in...just a stressful time!tokto said:As mentioned earlier, we are in the same situation (Japanese spouse, outland, Nov.)! Of course, this doesn't help us as we're stuck waiting, but I don't think that there's any cause for alarm, just yet.
Any idea when we will start seeing Family Sponsorship in the list? I tried linking the application, all other sub-categories are there except Family Sponsorship under Permanent Residence Category. Can anyone shed some light please? Thanks in advance.crzy_canadian said:Hang in there, there's plenty of us still waiting together

Yeah.. CIC silently changed the release date with no further information, see my thread here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/psa-new-cic-online-account-system-t418441.0.htmlbdg said:Any idea when we will start seeing Family Sponsorship in the list?
