Probably best to apply online, follow the links. Then fill out required information. If you're within Canada, you can get it for free. If you're abroad and needing to use a representative, it'll cost you 5 bucks. Good luck

There are two options when ordering your GCMS notes, a copy of the physical notes and file, or a copy of the electronic notes. A majority of people simply do the electronic ones. Ordering the notes should have no negative impact on your file. One member reports that their misplaced file was found in the wrong pile due to them ordering a copy of the physical file.

I see you're through Manila too, applied just a few days after me. I'm requesting notes shortly too, we're hopefully at the same stage and can expect something this July/August Here's hoping at least.

Checked this morning and there it was. I can't believe it! Finally the waiting is done! Hopefully everything is fine and the COPR arrives soon

Mexico office is so slow...at least he's here waiting with me..but can't wait for PPR

Just wanted to share that my wife landed on May 19th. We arrived together from Turkey - Terminal 1 at Pearson. Went through customs and told the officer that she was landing. They directed us to the immigration office. This was around 6:30pm so there was only a short line. When it was our turn we told the officer she was landing. He took her COPR and asked us to wait 10-15 minutes. About 10 minutes later he called us back up, asked her if there were any changes to the information - there wasn't - then had her sign and welcomed her to Canada. He then directed us to another information desk where they gave her some booklets for newcomers to Canada. We were then directed to the services canada counter where they issued a sin number for her. I also found out that they no longer give out SIN cards. And that was it. The whole process took less than 30 minutes - we collected our luggage and we were in Canada! I thought they would ask why our 3yr son (who is a Canadian citizen) wasn't with us but they didn't.

We had a 10 day stay - originally I was coming by myself for a wedding but when her PR came earlier than expected we decided she would could do her landing. It would give her a chance to see Toronto and we could decide together where we wanted to stay etc.. We are settling in a couple of months in Sept.

Congratulations!!! Oh my goodness I was super anxious! Even now I don't feel 100% relaxed yet...not until we have that COPR in our hands! But definitely a lot less stressed than before. Moving back to Canada will of course be stressful but knowing we will be making the move together makes it exciting as well!

Ya I know what you mean, it's not over till you have the COPR between your fingers I have been out of Canada for over 5 years now. Will for sure be stressful with my wife and child during the first few months there. But as you stated, as long as you're together you can move mountains right?
