It would be nice to hear from someone that has experienced it. I do believe that it would be difficult however the cost is so reasonable that I really want to give it a try

I think there is no risk of trying. I would recommend to read in "visitors" topics more, as people have more knowledge there, but as far as I read you really need to show good ties to your home country, funds and previous travel history. I know that having PR application in process makes it harder.

I am myself in Canada on a visitor status now, so can't help you more. Good luck, I would try :)

Thanks Owl29. My spouse has no previous travel history so that's out the window. I think I'm going to look in the other forums and see what i can find :)

Nope, you're along the same timeline as everyone else. Expect to see the next step (Sponsor approval) in the next week or so, but no one yet in November has received it.

Wife sent in our application package to PO Box 3000 Station A in Missisaugua on Nov 14 via CanadaPost with package tracking, but no signature.
CanadaPost reports Delivery on Nov 17.

I'm in the US and we're pursuing Outland Family Class (Spouse) immigration.

*fingers crossed for AOR soon*

Hi Everyone!

If you have an email on your application, will they email you the AOR or mail it?

Hi there,

I am pretty busy with work so dont have a ton of time to read through these forums. I did login to the "CIC check application status" link and found the following:
Sponsorship
We received your application to sponsor **************** on November 3, 2015.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 23, 2015.
We started processing your application on December 22, 2015
Permanent Residence
We received ***********'s application for permanent residence on November 3, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

We are doing outland from the USA, and I've heard this can be quicker. We have also not done the FBI check yet due to our schedule but have heard of some friends going through the process and not doing a Police check. Does all seem normal in what we are seeing online for our case status? Has anyone else heard on not doing the FBI check?

Hi Guys

Just received AOR - application was received on November 12, 2015 at mississauga. Looks like November is moving again!

Sounds good. Mine was received the day after yours so hopefully good news coming for me soon. Did you get an email or letter?
