They changed everything.. I don't think anyone knows anything at this point as well, but yes, you are not able to see times for specific visa offices

Does anyone know if there is a longer wait time for AOR if an email was not provided in the application?

Well yes I would assume so since they have to mail it to you

I would think so as well. My husband did his upfront medical and we got an email within 3 weeks stating they needed more. Had the email not been there we would probably just be getting a letter now.

Hi there! I'm Samantha, and this is my first post on these forums (although I trolled them through the whole process of preparing the documents... very helpful resource).
My application to sponsor my husband was received November 2, 2015. AOR December 22, 2015. File still marked as "in process". So, I guess... wait and hope now? These past few weeks changes on the CIC website for processing times had gotten me worried, but it seems like at least, I'm not alone in this.

Thank you! Perhaps I can try to call CIC and see if I am able to provide them an email at this point. :)

Hi and welcome here. I wouldn't be worried at all, take a look at the November speadsheet (link in my sig) and you're right along there with the rest of the November applicants.

Thank you! :) hopefully the rest of us Novembers will get AOR soon and we can move onto the SA stage!
The new wait time has me a bit worried but trying to remain positive!

Hi everyone I have a quick question...

I am considering applying for a visitor's visa while we await for our spousal sponsorship to take flight. Has anybody done this while waiting and if so can you provide some feedback. Any thoughts?

I was thinking about the same however read that it's next to impossible to have it approved. I would love to know as well, thoughts and suggestions.

It would be nice to hear from someone that has experienced it. I do believe that it would be difficult however the cost is so reasonable that I really want to give it a try
