oh ok, well it will be interesting to see how ottawa handles your application. i don't think there's many (or any) applicants from brazil on or spreadsheet. again, if we compare applications from this time last year, it doesn't look like there will be much movement until march-ish. from there, the processing time starts to speed up again. obviously the only way to know if ottawa remains consistent will be to wait and see. good luck w your applicaiton.

Chezvelo is from Brazil as well (or sponsoring someone from Brazil, I am not sure), but they sent theirs to Sao Paulo instead.
I am allowed to request Ottawa as my VO because Canada is my current country of residence and Ottawa processes applications from Canada and US. I wouldn't mind having it be processed in Sao Paulo (which has a new processing time of 8 months now!), but I didn't want to have to fly down to Brazil in a hurry if they requested an interview

Can anybody please give me Singapore spreadsheet

Yes, I am Canadian sponsoring my husband who is Brazilian.
There is also another "brazilian" couple on the november spreadsheet doing it through Sao Paulo (Jpsant)
It is hard to predict whether Sao Paulo or Ottawa will do it faster... who knows.... I guess every application is different. I am keeping my fingers crossed and trying to stay positive. I looked at the August 2014 spreadsheet and there were also two couples doing it through Sao Paulo. Their whole process took only 4-5 months from beginning to end. That's not bad at all. I am hoping for the same. We will see.
Good luck to all of us.

new processing time for Ottawa says 15 months against 8 months from São Paulo.. I guess it all depends on the Visa Officer, the application package etc I've been reading that Ottawa is usually pretty fast. I am not TOO worried because unlike many people here I am on a WP in Canada that is good for another 3 years, I don't have to be away from my partner, but obviously I'd like for the application to move as fast as possible

there is also an ottawa spreadsheet. i am not sure if there are currently brazilian applicants on the ottawa spreadsheet. it is the blue link in my signature below, and has open editing, so I would recommend adding yourself and track your progress.

Rec'd AOR on Valentine's day! ;D ;D I hope receiving SA on CNY day :P :P

Thanks! I just added myself over there as well

Hi everyone,

Our application arrived in Mississauga on November 5 2014 and we received an email on February 4 2015 informing us that our application was received as well as the information that allows us to check our status online (UCI, Application Number etc.) - I was just wondering what is the usual waiting period between this email and the Sponsorship Approval? Should we start getting worried? The online tool just says Application Received. We are applying from Serbia and if approved the application moves on to Vienna.

Cheers

I just got our sponsorship approval (Feb.15) ^.^ after 4 days from AOR. Praying for a smooth processing in Manila for our stage 2.

Thanks for your quick response and good luck with Stage 2.

Any reason to be worried that we haven't heard anything since AOR? Is 11 days a 'worry' zone or is 4 days just very quick and smooth?

Thanks a lot everyone.

I guess every application is different. If you look at the spreadsheet you can get an idea of how many days people are waiting between AoR and SA. In our case we waited 16 days (which is more than average), but if finally came.
Best of luck.
