In Canada, i'm currently visiting my hubby in canada, the application it's on it's way to mexico now since my hisband got approved as a sponsor yesterday, so i get the medicals here in canada and they will send the results to mexico?

The medicals can be done any where as long as its from the approved CIC physician and the results will be sent to them.

I had a question for everyone.

I just received an email through from CPC Mississauga with an attachment asking me for 2 recent photos of myself, an updated information chart and a photo copy of passport. I received my SA through yesterday. This surely cant be my passport request already can it??

OMG Congratulations! I'm jealous! LOL
Can I ask you? Has your ECAS been updated or it simply still says "Application Received"?

Happy Valentine's day, everyone!
My partner just received SA today at 5:09 AM (We are in Vancouver though, in Mississauga it would have been at 8:09 AM)! Our application is being directed to Ottawa, as requested. I see that Ottawa decreased in processing time by one month! Hopefully it will be less than 15 months though.

I'm so stoked!!!!!

yes, the processing time for ottawa is less than what is posted online (just like a majority of the posted times). those processing times are essentially "worst case scenarios" and don't actually represent what realtime applicants are facing. currently, ottawa is taking 7-8 months for total processing, though it has slowed down a bit. it is quite common for the processing time to go up and down based on a number of factors. early 2014 applicants saw a quick processing time of 3-6 months (mostly us applicants), so there is potential for it to go back down after a certain point. keep in mind, not all applicants from other countries will see this timeline. the ottawa spreadsheet is in my signature below. feel free to add yourself to start tracking your progress. i would also encourage you to take a look at the "trends" on the spreadsheet. there is some valuable information that can be found on there and help you determine what to expect.

Thank you for your reply! I am confident we sent a strong and succinct application, so that should mean less processing time. It was not huge or terribly heavy, but it contained all the info they need. Fingers crossed, the waiting game continues lol
