it is common for applications to be approved "out of order".

a) the applications are batched by months, not necessarily by day.

b) an officer probably isn't going to receive applications on their desk that represent every single day in a said month, since the work load is split amongst more than 1 officer.

c)each officer has their own level of ability to process applications in a certain amount of time. certainly there will be differences in the length it takes different officers to finish their work.

d) just because the website says it's processing applications for a certain date, it certainly doesn't mean ALL applications received before that date are finished processing or even open.

e) each application is unique. how quickly it takes cic to process an application depends on the information provided and how easily and quickly cic can confirm the information provided.

The above is what everyone needs to understand.
So it is better that everyone including myself tries to be patient and not fully compare their application timelines to each others. Otherwise we will go crazy worrying. IMHO

All the best to everyone!
Ya you are right. Sometimes I'm so depressed. I'm waiting since 2012. I got married in 2012. My life is soo complicated

Please Fab tell me about it

When you get S/A you need to apply for CSQ it's Certificat de sélection du Québec. it's only like 2 documents you have to fill and send to immigration Quebec.

you guys are planning to live in Quebec right?

Yes we will live in quebec. How long do they take for QC selection?

Don't worry well it seems to be pretty fast no more than 3 weeks but sometimes even faster.

What I am not sure is if Quebec sends the CSQ directly to the embassy or we have to send it ourself?

Decision rendered by the MIDI

One of three decisions will be rendered after your application is examined.

Undertaking approved

If your undertaking application is approved, you will receive a letter in the mail confirming its acceptance, a copy of the approved application, and an envelope containing the Québec Selection Certificate which you must send to the person you are sponsoring.
The decision of the MIDI will be sent directly to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada office that is handling the application for permanent resident status of the person you are sponsoring.

I don't know if this is relevant, by anyway.... Today, 13 days after receiving SA, my ECAS (the sponsor) has been updated. Under Sponsorship Approval they have added "decision made" which makes reference to the fact we received SA on February 4th.
My husband's ECAS has also been updated. They have added " Medical records have been received" to his ECAS.
I hope that is all a good sign! :))))

Good luck to everyone!
