Hi Guys,

Originally I sent my application in August but it was returned because I missed a copy of my old passport. I re-sent my application in November 1st, so I now really belong to this group.

Cheers,

Ben
Hey Zaraben,
sorry to bother you again.
Did you change your application date or just attached the missing copy mentioned?

Hi ALL

I have query regarding my USA Visit and Entry in I-94.

I Visited the USA for a day and Travel via Air from Canada for to and fro. if I check the I-94 information online it shows only arrival to USA and No departure mentioned there.

My passport does have both the stamp of exit and entry from Canada.

Will this can be issue and cause of RQ in future ? Shall I contact Department of Homeland Security Consent USA to correct the details in I-94 ?

Thanks

if you are departing by land, the exits are not always recorded. so just check the following link:

Click i94 faqs and it will answer everything:

https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html

I departed By Air and I checked the same link where it shows only arrival to USA.

I assumed that I departing via air should have recorded by them , but doesn't look like a case.

Now I am wondering how to correct this in i-94

Hi Guys,

New to the forum, sent application on Nov 12th, received by CIC on Nov 14th in Sydney NS.

A few quick questions:

1) When I will eventually receive an AOR, does that mean that the application has been opened and all the documents appear to be there? ie after receiving an AOR is it assured that the application will not be returned?

2) Based on my timescales above, should I be expecting an AOR in mid January?

3) Timescales for the whole process (from sending application to Oath ceremony) seem to vary wildly - official website seems to suggest up to 24 months, but looking on the forum it seems to be more like 12 months if everything is in order. Is that correct? Could this be due to the increase in fees from earlier in the year and new streamlined processes?

4) I live in Montreal and sent my application to Sydney - is that likely to make it slower than average, average, or it has no bearing on timescales?

Many thanks for any information you can provide, seems like a lot of very knowledgeable people on the forum.

Excited to become a Canadian citizen as soon as possible ;-)

Good luck to everyone!

Where did you depart from? (Which airport in USA)? Do you have any boarding pass etc? You can take that to near CBP office and see if they can correct it. They may or may not.

You can order your CBSA records to see if entry in Canada was recorded or not.
If Canadian side its recorded then you will atleast have proof that you entered canada.

Border records are not always updated properly, sometimes the entries are missed. It happened with me and other people in this forum.

AOR means your application is accepted but they may ask additional documents later during the processing of the application.

AOR usually takes 1-3 months in general. Either by email or by post.

New streamlined process the application can be approved from 3 months and take up to 3 years. It depends upon case to case.
Someone in this forum got citizenship in 3 months

all the applications go to sydney NS and every province has different speed. Some are faster and some are slower. I have no idea about timings for Montreal.
