Thank you - that is great! I hope for the same. I did all of the requests upfront: medical, passports - everything was sent in before they needed to ask. I do have dependent children from a previous marriage, but I already went to court and got State approval in Washington to move the kids here and I submitted the official notarized paperwork. Have since moved up to BC to live with Canadian hubby and hope it doesn't take to long to process. Would really like to enroll my daughter in school by fall and get a job

AOR received means Mississauga has got your application, now is waiting for the approval of your sponsorship. When you find the status changes to "Decision Made", you will get another mail or email to inform the decision.

I planned to skip one color and changed to Yellow directly

Admittedly, I've always felt some of the intermediate colors are a bit....excessive.

In my own opinion, the only milestones that really matter are:

-SA approval
-Passport Request
-Decision Made
-COPR received
-Landing

So I may just have the spreadsheet reflect those milestones by color....of course I'll keep adding as much data as people want

I applied for my background check before they ask for it since for my country (Colombia) it takes up to 8 weeks to send it to the VO so i want to gain some time.

My husband received email from CIC that they received our application package, which was delivered on Nov 26th 2013.
Is this AOR or CIC will send actual letter?

Can I check my status on CIC website?

Hi,

Yes, this's the AOR you have got. and CIC won't send you a paper copy... and next you will receive another email or mail regarding the sponsorship approval decision.

and Yes, you may check your status on CIC website through your UCI or Application Number.
