Does anyone know, how long it takes to change from Application Received to In Process

PB2013, I think it depends on VO's processing time...... however, I saw some cases processing really fast no matter what VO they are... that's why I keep wondering if CIC selected cases to process first...

But you are the first November case to received SA and file transfer, I believe you will be the first to see "IN PROCESS " too!!

Thanks and hope your words come true :). good luck to u as well

hey guys,

newly update: I can check my online status on last Saturday and the medical results has been received.

Cheer up everyone, we will hear good news step by step soon~~~

Yeah I can also check my status on the CIC website, and my medical results have been received. BUT THE BOX IS STILL THERE!!! Not nearly as annoying now, though. As gersonjaijai says, cheer up everyone! We're all gonna make it!

Hi everyone.
I got my AOR on December 10,2103.
When I check my online status it says
We received your application for permanent residence to sponsor XYZ on November 21, 2013.

What does this means?
Did I got approval or not yet?
Thanks. P

Hey LazyMonkey, Welcome Aboard to November family!!

AOR received means Mississauga has got your application, now is waiting for the approval of your sponsorship. When you find the status changes to "Decision Made", you will get another mail or email to inform the decision.

Good luck to you!!

Hello all :)

Sorry I've been a bit slack on the updates...I just made another pass through the spreadsheet, so please let me know if you still see information missing that I should have put there before.

Thanks, and keep up the good spirits!

I see that your application was filed in April and you were landed in October of this year, is that correct? Any advice on how you got that done so fast compared with the long wait times listed on the site?

It was actually filed in March -- you're seeing the day/month backwards :)

With that said, 7 months was probably about average for a non-complicated case of an American spousal sponsorship. Our app package was as complete as it could get and there were no issues with medicals or police checks.

Take the times listed on the site with a grain of salt...while my wife's app was in process the processing "time" for LA went up to 22 months, yet obviously ours was done much sooner. In most (80%?) of the cases, your app will be done well within that time if there are no issues.
