Hi all,

A question for those who have landed already or are about to land. What's the landing procedure like? Do we need to pay any money at the border as landing charges or any other outstanding bills?

Thanks

No you don't need to pay. You need to pay the toll fee however for crossing, i think it was around $4 - not sure about it, but it is around that. It is best to take few 0.25 coins.

To letsvibe,

You should phone cic about your application. Ive got ppr first before decision made.

NOC - 7241 (Electrician)
First of all she asked me how long i was working with that company.. then asked to explain what were my duties and responsibilities (I am not in Canada at the moment). After my explanation what I was doing day by day there, I asked her why is she calling to me... And got an answer, that Duties and Responsibilities in Reference Letter seems to be "copy-paste" and she wants to be sure about my job..
It was last night around 6pm and nothing changed for me yet.. I am thinking maybe she will call to my former employer as well, but if he will not pick a phone up or so..?! I do not know about him nothing now...

Hi EB,

Thanks for the reply ..... as you mentioned they might call your former employer you can call your employer and tell him that he might get a call so he is prepared accordingly..... Also to my curiosity how many people worked under your former employer ... like is it a small company or has a massive production and you were part of it...... also after talking to her and explaining her your duties and responsibilities do you think she was satisfied.... or did she still have questions and as you mentioned did u copy and paste the duties from the NOC code description as is ........

Thanks.

No, I did not copy anything.., but duties in Employer's reference letter sounds very similar to NOC 7241 description... When I have got that letter I was very happy I received it at all!
I think VO was happy about my explanation.... I hope so ???
And the company (I used to work with) was not very big (10 employees + two owners who were working as well)

What do you think....?! Am I still in the same boat, or not anymore... :o

I think getting RPRF is a strong indication of application getting approved.

Any one waiting for PPR after 3 weeks of RPRF ? I checked trend from last few months Usually its 3 week or less than for a PPR.
Also any comments on waiting time for Passport return ? I have to make some travel plans, will booking tickets one month from the day of sending Passports is good?

My spouse study permit getting expire on 30th July, When should I renew it , considering my RPRF date is 2nd june
