Looks like CIC have picked up speed again. Congrats everyone who received their MR, PPR

Hi Vik,

Did you receive your passport after stamping? Generally how long it takes once you courier them the passport?

11 Days since RPRF nothing heard
I think some one said its 21 days waiting time between RPRF and PPR usually

No, it's been 3 days only since they received my Passport. On average it takes around 7-8 days for stamping after CIC receives the passport.

I wonder if the 21 days gets delayed longer if CIC hasn't received the medicals from the doctors yet.

Hi guys,

I have been follower of this forum for long time. Really thanks for all your info's.
I have question for you guys. I have done my medicals on 15May and waiting for PPR. Myself and my wife planning to go to India on Sept, i will be back in a month and my Wife will stay for 4 months over there. Our both TRV got expired before an year. I'm planning to apply one this week.

1. Does it matter if i apply for TRV when waiting for PPR?
2. Once i get TRV, Can i go to India before getting PPR? I'm travelling from Canada by air without entering USA.
3. If i got PPR when myself or when my wife staying in India, what should i do as next steps?
4. Is it better to postpone to this trip to later date?

Seniors please reply to any queries. thanks in advance. :) :) :)

Hello,

If you applied with family members , do I need to submit their passports too? if they ask for PPR?

1. No, it does not matter if you are applying for TRV while awaiting PPR
2. Yes, TRV allows you to re-enter Canada. But with TRV you might need work/student permit or a visitor TRV to re-enter Canada.
3. You should request your stamping office be changed to a local CIC office in India.
4. Yes! If possible, please postpone as there might cause additional delays in changing offices etc.
