One sided

Sent my application on 20th Nov.....Just checked the status ..have reached Halifax.

Hey just one confirmation...I just went by the latest checklist (10-2013) ...no additional docs except educational degrees. Is that fine??

Resubmitting mine today - after having it returned on Wednesday, due to wrong family information forms.
Hoping I get lucky this time and that the holidays don't delay the processing too much.

Just as an FYI (not to scare anyone) but reason my file was returned was that family form got changed 09/2013 and mine file was send off on October 8th 2013. The family form was one of the last ones I filled out.

Good Luck everyone

Hi ,
Just wanted to know normally if they find incomplete application or find old forms used then with in how many weeks they will return the application.

Thanks in advance

I think I saw a couple of people post that recently they are returning it (if they are returning it) in 6 weeks or so

Current timeline for aor is 39 days

one other thing while filling the application form.. "Immigration office requested for processing this application" - I filled to CPC - Ottawa under IMM008 form (question#4) and then mail to CPC Sydney - Centralized Intake Office – Canadian Experience Class (CEC) P.O. BOX 4000, Sydney, NS B1P 1J3, Canada. Correct?

thats ok after sydney they transfer file for processing to ottwa

Thanks a lot Samir for your response. I understand that part but in he form, I have it CPC - Ottawa which is fine...please confirm?.. as the documents will be mail to Sydney, they validate first and send to Ottawa for further processing...just don't want to make any mistake..

We're about to apply this December but it seems like we are going to have problems getting the Reference letter from my husband's employer. He's an intra-company transferee. Anyone here who's on the same situation?

Hi guys,

I just submit application to extend my work permit with the other employer. I sent it online in package for the whole family, which includes closed work permit for me, open work permit for my spouse, student permit for one child and visitor permit for the other child. As processing times have been changed on CIC website (work permit 7 days, student permit 19 days and visitor permit 39 days) I'm wondering when should I expect to receive their decision, after 7 days or after 39 days?

I hope some of you guys have more information on this.

Thanks

There's been a few changes.
- Document Checklist IMM5610
- Schedule 8 IMM0008 SCHEDULE8
- Additional Family Information IMM5406

:)

He can use the contract letter/letter that the company provided to Canadian embassy where he got the visa stamped. That letter should contain everything. In addition pay-stubs, T4, etc. listed in the checklist, and verification of employment should help. It's not uncommon for employer to not provide "letter of reference". There are other ways like colleague providing that information with a notarized letter is also acceptable.

Seniors here can add more.
