strange, l thought they started writing some notes for eligibility at CIO itself. May very application to application..

Nothing for eligibility in notes. But if someone submitted additional documents, than it is good to check if those have applied to your file or not. GCMS notes have details of all communications.

Got my first GCMS today:

Status is "Not Started" in most of the concerning fields
Criminality is in progress
they sent a lengthy 25 page pdf file with a bunch of details containing a bullet point summary of my app sent.
work,address, nationality etc etc.

Seems like CIO didn't do the eligibility check on my app. Maybe its for apps after 9th Nov.
Mine was received on 8th Nov.

Gr8 my application was also received on 8th Nov i.e. just a day before the CIC changed criteria for CEC. And waiting for GCMS (Applied on Feb 24, 2014).
Hopefully will get it by mid-next week.

No you don't need to submit RCMP. Submit one when you're asked to do so.
