Referring to a post in this forum and reading the above comments I believe that after the new rules CEC is doing more checks during initial review before AOR. So processing should be faster.

APPLICATION SUBMITTED Nov 8, 2013

Applied for GSCM on Feb 7, 2014

Here are some highlights that I thought were worth something, but I don't know if that means anything at all...

ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT: 1

Type:Eligibility CEC

Status: Recommend Passed

Temporary resident status: Yes
Minimum Language Requirement: Met
Required work experience in Canada: Met
Skill Type/Level: B

It appears that PA has qualifying employment at 0, A or B skill level for at least 12 months in the last 36 months; PA has Language Proficiency at the required CLB based on NOC skill level; Temporary Resident status was maintained during qualifying period of work. CEC REQUIREMENTS APPEAR TO BE MET. Letter of reference related to work experience on file-not verified to CPPO for further assessment/decision.

I know it is too early to cheer but I think they started checking us earlier. But then again nothing is guaranteed, VO can easily refuse my application if he/she wants to.

So I am applying for one more to see if there was any progress in 1 month.

If you applied in September they probably followed the old procedures. As many people have mentioned before, it seems like they started checking eligibility at the very beginning now? I honestly don't even know what to think. I won't calm down until I actually get my medicals and then until I land, so God help us all...

What do you have on your file? In my case eligibility and criminality are in progress.

Samir u applied in November ...when u applied for gcms ? Any other nov applicant applied after 8th nov and have gcms like above

Yah even though it is going fast, till a lot of people are not getting MR faster. So I don't want to see 50% of sept applicants with MR, while rest 50% is wondering "What happened to my file?". I wish they had followed some sort of manner, so we had a clearer concept.

May be something change from applicant Nov 08,2013cic may follow some different procedure and faster than now...
